  1. Net Tossing Party and the Governor’s Meeting
    2-12-17

We start this report with a boom ra bang, the Lady Petra once more had her monthly all shard net tossing party. If you are not aware of this, she does this net tossing every month at cost of the nets she and others pay. Close to 15 white nets were tossed this Sunday at the Magincia’s Docks. If you like to help out with white nets you can contact Petra through the Vesper Governor’s Office.

This month’s net tossing also had two very special visitors, our EM and a Visiting EM from Chessy, (Chesapeake) EM Ulric. They both did the touristy thing walking along the docks watching all the fun and mayhem.
At the conclusion of the Net Tossing we moved on to the Monthly Council Meeting.

    Roll Call
    King Blackthorn
    Lord Galahad
    Lady Cinderella
    Lady Queen Mum
    Lord Clym of Clough
    Lady Lavendar
    Lady Dezerai
    Lord Vershawn
    Absent:
    Magincia Governor
    Also Presented:
    Special Guest: Samuel Kluttz III
    Citizens of Sonoma
    Councilmeeting1.jpg

Meeting started with small talk regarding the net tossing, over all it had been a success. Next was the introduction of a Knight.
King Blackthorn: I would like to introduce you all to Samuel Kluttz The Third. He is a noble advisor to the Moonglow Knights of Sacrifice and has honored us with his presence.
    Councilmeeting2.jpg
Samuel Kluttz III: Hello everyone, My king. Thank you for the introduction. Honored to meet the lands governors as well. As our King said, I am the advisor to the Moonglow Knights of Sacrifice. *smiles* We defend the gates and citizens of Moonglow. If any resident of Moonglow has any issues with creatures or monsters. Feel free to reach out.
    *smiles*

King Blackthorn: Thank you, Lord Samuel. *looks across the room* As you can see, the antimatter that was destroying our lands has been eliminated. I must award the Royal Guard and you all for helping defeat the evil caused by reckless alchemists
Dezerai: For which we are very happy for
King Blackthorn: Our kingdom is safe from the darkness, for now
Lavendar: That is a great relief.
Dezerai: That ugly mess outside my office is gone as well
    Miri: Aye
    Lavendar: We must be vigilant.
King Blackthorn: *nods* The antimatter and rift is gone
Dezerai: what of the Dark city? will we see it again I wonder?

King Blackthorn: And I believe the Void Dragon is there to protect us. Glad you brought that up, Dezerai. As the fight is not over just because our realm is safe. though we have closed the alchemical rift in our realm. It is our duty to deny the darkness from devouring others. We have learned that there are three guardians of the darkness that must be slain. The guardian of the dark forest. The guardian of the dark lake. And the guardian of the dark temple. Once those monsters are gone, the darkness will be weak. We can take its power for once and for all. Commander Chimaera will brief you with more details at a later date. But the Guard must venture into the darkness again.
Dezerai: Our Citizens are ready to assist all they can from the isle of Moonglow Sire.

On a lighter note, I was informed that an old farmer decided to open a whiskey distillery On the north island of Jhelom
    Vershawn: Excellent news..that is
    Cinderella: whiskey?
King Blackthorn: Yes, whiskey... Though I don’t partake in such intoxicants, myself. I am happy to support entrepreneurs in their endeavors.
Vershawn: Jhelom has good wood for the barrels....
King Blackthorn: I believe the distillery will be opening its doors this coming Wednesday.
    Lavendar: Most excellent news.
    Cinderella: nice
    Dezerai: makes a note

King Blackthorn: The last bit of news I have for you to relay to your citizens. Our Kingdom's trophy and reward hall in Malas has reopened. It was a bit... disorganized. I had my servants clean it up. There will be a grand opening event on Friday, the 17th
Dezerai: My uncle says that it was very nice and told me to tell all to take a tour when they can
    Cinderella: *claps*
    Lavendar: Excellent news.
    Cinderella: awesome news

King Blackthorn: Now if only we can get the woodworkers to finish the vacant hall right outside my castle
Dezerai: yes, far too long it has laid empty
    Miri: Aye
Lavendar: Aye, that would be lovely. Quite a nice building.
    King Blackthorn: Agreed
Lavendar: It would be nice to use it.
King Blackthorn: I will ask this. If you have recommendations on how to use that space. Please send me a note. And with that, I would also like to discuss town revitalization. The citizens seemed overjoyed with the holiday decorations in our towns
    Miri: Indeed
King Blackthorn: I'd like to coordinate an effort to increase the year-round
Cinderella: I heard many citizens from foreign lands praise the decorations
    Dezerai: aye
    Lavendar: We would love that.
    Cinderella: awesome
King Blackthorn: I have yet to solidify a plan
Lavendar: It would make our towns very festive. Wonderful idea.
King Blackthorn: But it is on the agenda for this year
Lavendar: This past Christmas was the most lovely
    Dezerai: *nods*
Lavendar: I have ever seen for the towns. I was so proud of our shard
King Blackthorn: Good to hear that, Lavendar
Clym of Clough: Perhaps if possible it might be keyed to our city creed or meaning, the new decorations.
King Blackthorn: I'll consider all suggestions
Clym of Clough: like Skara is the city of Spirituality
    King Blackthorn: nods

    King Blackthorn: *looks around*
King Blackthorn: Where is the governor of New Magincia?
    Lavendar: I don't believe
    Dezerai: Absent again
    Clym of Clough: Good question
Lavendar: It would be nice to have an active governor.
    Dezerai: I agree
King Blackthorn: If that seat is vacant at the next meeting, I will appoint a replacement
    Lavendar: That would be appreciated.
    Dezerai: *makes a note*
Lavendar: It is a shame not to have that city represented.
Galahad: I believe we had someone interested in governorship last meeting
    Lavendar: Who was that?
King Blackthorn: Please put the word out. If someone is interested in governorship to attend the next meeting
Galahad: It was Menace. Menace is very interested, he is ill this evening or he would have been here
Clym of Clough: The person who Galahad is mentioning has made his wishes to be a Governor known at this meeting before
Dezerai: ahh yes Menace was his name I remember
Lavendar: Perhaps let him know to come to the next meeting
    Galahad: He will be here
King Blackthorn: Six months ago, three seats were empty. Down to one is progress. But I like a full table. *smiles*
Lavendar: It would be terrific to have all our seats filled.
    Dezerai: Yes it would
Clym of Clough: I don't remember ever seeing our table filled. that would be wonderful
Lavendar: It is almost filled tonight. Just missing one Governor
Clym of Clough: It sure is
    King Blackthorn: We are close
Lavendar: Very good to see everyone.
    Councilmeeting3.jpg
King Blackthorn: Let's discuss news of the realm
    King Blackthorn: Governor Galahad...
King Blackthorn: Do you have any news to report?
    Galahad: Sire? No news
Lavendar: But you have a new distiller on the North Island!
    Dezerai: heheh
King Blackthorn: Have you frequented the distillery on the north island yet?
Galahad: I have visited, in my opinion he will do a brisk business
    King Blackthorn: Good to hear
    Galahad: Aye
    King Blackthorn: Thank you, governor
    Galahad: *nods*
King Blackthorn: Governor Cinderella, how is Minoc, these days?
Cinderella: The miners are still working the mines and the women folk are getting ready for valentine's day making goodies
    King Blackthorn: Goodies?
    Cinderella: cookies
King Blackthorn: candies, I hope. That will work, too
    Cinderella: chocolate
    King Blackthorn: *smiles*
    Cinderella: yum
    King Blackthorn: Thank you, Cinderella
    Cinderella: Your Welcome
    King Blackthorn: Governor Mum
    Queen Mum: *smiles*
King Blackthorn: How are the cookies?
    King Blackthorn: I mean...
    King Blackthorn: Britain
    Dezerai: hehe
Queen Mum: well we are preparing for our Spring plantings. Spring is approaching quickly so we must be ready to plant
King Blackthorn: Always nice to see fresh flowers in our towns
Queen Mum: our farmers are excited that the cold is breaking
King Blackthorn: It has been an unusually cold winter
Queen Mum: as long as the snow doesn't melt to quickly and the rain stays always, we should have a good seasonal crop, watermelon is the towns favorite.
King Blackthorn: Glad to hear our soldiers will be well fed. Thank you governor Mum
    Queen Mum: *nods*
    King Blackthorn: Governor Vershawn
    Vershawn: Aye m'Lord
King Blackthorn: I haven't visited Trinsic in a while
King Blackthorn: How are your citizens
Vershawn: Well there is a matter of concern among the citizens
    King Blackthorn: *nods* go on...
    Dezerai: *listens*
Vershawn: There is a plague thorn tree in the town meetin' hall It seems properly warded in all
Its been stable for many a year. But the towns folk avoid the meetin' hall. I was wonderin' if it was possible to have someone look at it an' have it removed as it is far beyond my knowledge
King Blackthorn: I know what you're speaking of
    Miri: Sounds toxic
King Blackthorn: Has flames so hot they are purple surrounding it
Vershawn: *nods* It seems safe. But the townsfolk won't hear it
King Blackthorn: That tree is old and very strong, resistant to my magic
Queen Mum: that goes many moons past from one of the Trinsic city attacks
    Dezerai: *nods*
Vershawn: Aye it is very old
Queen Mum: I think the coffin may still be along the west wall as well
Vershawn: I was there when Ocig placed it there. *nods*
King Blackthorn: Here is what I can do. If citizens agree to have it removed. 'I’ll have to find a wizard with the type of power to dispel it. But as it's of no harm to you. Think about it. It is part of our realm's history
Vershawn: I had a second part of a request
    King Blackthorn: *nods*
Vershawn: If they tree could be safely removed perhaps a statue of the person that was shall we say awakened from the coffin be erected in its place
King Blackthorn: I'll discuss the matter with my council of mages
    Vershawn: thank you sire
    King Blackthorn: Thank you, Governor
    King Blackthorn: Governor Dezerai...
King Blackthorn: Moonglow has gotten a lot of attention as of late
Dezerai: Sire the City of Moonglow is doing very well, even with a sleeping dragon next to my office and the city guards are ever watchful.
King Blackthorn: I believe the dragon from the void is there to protect us
Dezerai: The Lady Joyce also defended our city early today from mongbats
    King Blackthorn: Mongbats?
Dezerai: that seem to be more of a pest
King Blackthorn: An unusual number of mongbats?
Dezerai: other then that I nothing else to report except
Dezerai: Evy that is one lovely Dress
    King Blackthorn: *smiles*
    Dezerai: *smiles*
    King Blackthorn: I agree
    Evy: Thank you
    King Blackthorn: Thank you, Governor
    Dezerai: Thank you sire
King Blackthorn: Governor Clym of Skara Brae
Clym of Clough: We have no exciting news but our farmers are all looking forward to getting back in the fields and producing our crops to feed Sosaria citizens with our wonderful harvests.
    Dezerai: *smiles*
King Blackthorn: Great to hear! Between Skara and Britain, I feel this year will be bountiful
Clym of Clough: It is always exciting for us to see spring arrive
    King Blackthorn: Thank you, Governor
King Blackthorn: Governor Lavendar of Vesper
    Lavendar: Hail Your Highness
King Blackthorn: How are the connected isles
Lavendar: We are happy to see the weather warming as we had some issues with icy bridges which were quite dangerous. We are happy to see the dark shadow of the alchemical matter gone from the square.
King Blackthorn: You need dragon scale boots for that.
Lavendar: I should get some. We continue to hold sponsor the net toss in hopes that many can come have fun
King Blackthorn: Glad to hear the events are going well
Lavendar: I hope to have an event later this year perhaps for Easter
    King Blackthorn: Good idea!
Lavendar: I'm very excited about the idea of decorating the towns! We should do that
King Blackthorn: I love a good old fashioned Easter egg hunt
King Blackthorn: Our towns need it
Lavendar: It would be grand. That is all for Vesper, Your highness.
King Blackthorn: Thank you, Governor. Governor Miri
Miri: No news to report..we are hunkerd down for winter awaiting spring
King Blackthorn: How is Yew? Sounds like we are all waiting for the ice to thaw
    Miri: Indeed
    King Blackthorn: Thank you, Governor
    Miri: *smiles*
    King Blackthorn: Citizens...
King Blackthorn: The floor is open
That ability does not seem to work here.
    Dezerai: *looks around*
    King Blackthorn: *looks around room*
King Blackthorn: If we have nothing further, I'll call an end to this meeting
Morticia: there is a problem with dungeon doom
    King Blackthorn: How so, Morticia?
Morticia: the healer has wondered from his room
    Cinderella: South West corner
King Blackthorn: Is this an issue with our realm, only?
Dezerai: No sire. Others have reported this as well
King Blackthorn: I'll inform the powers that be
Morticia: the Dark Fathers keep blowing up the doors
    Galahad: lol
King Blackthorn: Until it's fixed, I'll hire a temporary healer for that room
    Morticia: Thank you sir
Dezerai: May I also point out sire there is a special meeting on Siege this Monday evening
Galahad: Has anyone here seen a recipe from doom yet?
Cinderella: the healer is in the southwest corner when Dark Fathers are up
King Blackthorn: Yes, please announce the meeting on Siege
King Blackthorn: I believe it's with the powers above
Dezerai: 6PM CT On Siege Serpent's Hold war room
    King Blackthorn: *looks around*
Dezerai: If you cannot gate just ask in General chat for aid
King Blackthorn: Thank you, Dezerai. Alright governors... citizens
Dezerai: Sire a favor to ask of you
    King Blackthorn: Of course
Dezerai: if you would contact the Gods that they place a gate in Luna and Brit for the Serpent’s Hold island on Siege for Monday.
Lavendar: No recall on Siege so hard for new players to get there
    King Blackthorn: I'll inform them
    Dezerai: Thank you sire
    Lavendar: Thank you
King Blackthorn: If anyone needs me please reach out
    Miri: Thank you Sire
King Blackthorn: Thank you all for coming, this evening
