  1. Arriving at the hostel, they found the Fiery Lady surrounded by Dream Shade.

"Get away from me you stupid little shades!" she growled pushing past them, "Get out of my way."

To Hemp Knight's amazement the Dream Shades ignored her instead attacking the Spies.

"How rude! Not evening acknowledging me." she glared at the shades. Stepping back she watched the battle. " You can hurry it up," she said impatiently.

Hemp Knight looked over at her, "You could always help."

'And why should I, they aren't attacking me." she replied inspecting her robe, "They almost wreaked my new robe."

Hemp Knight shook his head, wondering again who was she working with, "Evidas would want you to help"

The Fiery Lady slammed her staff on the ground. Finding that she couldn't summon fire, she began hitting the Dream Shades with her staff and casting other spells.

Once the Fiery Lady had weakened the Dream shades, the Royal Spies clear the Hostel of Dream Shades... at last reaching the room with the golden parchment.

The Fiery Lady studied the parchment, then she reached out and touched it. Poof! she was gone only to quickly reappear. "Ah it is a teleport, touch it and any others you find." Once again she touched it and disappeared.
Hemp Knight lead the others to the scroll. Touching it, took them to another scroll.

At last they arrived in the blue temple. The Fiery Lady was touching another blue stone. Watching they saw a reflection in it.

    8.jpg

Winching in pain, she lead them to another pillar.

As the words appeared she began to read.

"They knew what would come...They had seen it long ago. Had noticed the design of the magic, had seen it at work... they knew if it could even be but weakened. They could crawl through the tunnels the magic made."

Hemp Knight looked around. This time no Dream Shades had appeared. Had they defeated them all or was the magic of the Blue Temple keeping them at baby. No matter and he turned his attention back to the Fiery Lady.

She was frowning as she ran her hands back over the pillar.

"It's a trick," she quickly pulled her hand back, "The trail is in Ilshenar. We must hurry."

The Royal spies followed her past down the twisting trail. Arriving North of the Valor altar, they found the Fiery Lady carefully examining the pillar.

Using the sand again, no writing appeared. Puzzle the Fiery lady looked closer. Finally finding a small symbol of fire, she warmed the stone. At last the words appeared.

"They knew others would come. Others who would try to stop them... so they prepared for it. They left one to protect their secret..."

The ground began to shake and rumble. Knowing what the rumbling meant, tamers called on their pets to guard them...warriors drew their weapons...mages summoned their magic. This time the Royal Spies were prepared. Hearing movement behind them, Hemp Knight turned. What he saw wasn't Dream Shades, instead there was a monstrous Dreamshade Walker. Not waiting for them to attack, it rushed them.

When the Dreamshade Walker had been defeated, a strange apparition appeared by the pillar. In its hand a scroll. Leary of it, the Fiery Lady carefully reached out and took the scroll. As she unrolled it, the apparition vanished.

"Strange shade that. What? I can't read this. I've not seen writing such as this." Suddenly she dropped it. The scroll has begun making insect noises. "This scroll is useless, unless one of you can read insect."

No one answered. Sighing, Hemp Knight spoke up, "So we are no closer to finding Evidias. Could we have missed something?"

The Fiery Lady was quiet as she thought, "There were 9 pillars. I counted 5. The three in Moonglow, the one at the Blue Temple and this one."

    16.jpg

"Perhaps this scroll, will lead us to the others. I will return you to Britain." she stopped holding her hand to her head.

"Are you alright my lady, "Hemp Knight asked concerned?

"Yes, the magic of the reflection was stronger than I excepted. Take this to the mages, perhaps they can translated this. Don't tell them about the pillars,"

Waiting until Hemp Knight picked up the scroll, she turned to the rest and opened a gate, "To the hall."

"Keep looking for the four pillars. Send me word if you find them. She told them once they had arrived. Their magic trail must lead us to Evidias."

She stopped and rubbed her head again. "I saw so many of the insects gathered at the roots of the tree. I couldn't tell what they were making, but I could feel the magic."

She looked at the scroll Hemp Knight had. I so the mages can translate it."

"Could they be those the pillars spoke of?" Hemp Knight asked.

"They could be, I don't know and careless" she answered. Frustrated she muttered, "Evidias is my only concern." in a flash of fire she was gone.

Turning around on the bench, Hemp Knight saw Dahlia had sat down behind him.

"Greetings Lady Dahlia," I'm not sure she is keeping any thing from us. She is very worried about Evidias." Hemp Knight paused, "Though that is disturbing."

Dahlia nodded, "I agree, she is much too interest in Evidias. But she did help with reading the pillars and by what she found in the tunnels."

"We have learned so much, yet are no closer to the answers." Frowning, Hemp Knight pointed out, " Are the beetles the ones told of by the pillars? If so who let them go and why?

    19.jpg

"That is true, that could explain what Time Without Dreams meant when he said it wasn't here, it wasn't there. Yet it is in both places." Dahila mused.

"Perhaps he meant the tree was in another time? Leningrad asked.

Dahlia was quiet as she thought. "That is a good idea. We know that Minax has been opening rifts in time. I so hope Hawkwind knows what he is doing."

Dahlia slowly stood, 'Now I must inform the King of Evidia's disappearance and recent events. I can't keep avoiding him."

Hemp Knight stood and bowed to her, "I don't envy you. Poor Captain Corain has been trying to keep the king at bay,"

Dahlia sighed, "I know. Now to face the kings. Rest and be safe, the realm will have need of you soon."

Dahlia stopped in front of Govenor Vyxen.

"I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the events in Moonglow. So be careful, we can't afford any thing to happen to one of our governors in these troubled times."

"Thank you for the warning," Governor Vyxen replied, "I'll increase the number of guards around the city."

Looking around again, Dahlia sighed and left to meet with the king.

"I am so glad that I'm not having to report to the King." Hemp Knight said turning to Governor Vyxen. "I'll keep my eyes on your office. With luck I can catch the villain."

"Thank you lord Hemp Knight," I will sleep better knowing you are watching."

Hemp Knight yawned, "I must take my leave. Sleep has been long in waiting." Bowing he returned once more to Moonglow's Inn. Going to his room, he wondered what tomorrow will bring."
