Today I became a 'sextagenarian' which only sounds interesting if you don't know what it means. Am I now too old to be doing what I do on Stratics? Maybe. Probably. For years I have occasionally been woken in the early hours by someone knocking on our door. I've staggered downstairs bleary eyed at 3 and 4am only to find no one there. This week the knocking came again, but now we live in a bungalow and the door is much nearer to our bedroom. I was finally able to identify the phantom door knocker. It was a blasted magpie pecking at the moss on our roof tiles!!
