Did you ever?

Sit in a room with someone in perfect silence because no matter how hard you searched your mind you couldn't think of a single thing to say?

That's me trying to role play. My mind goes a complete blank. If meet someone who's roleplaying I'll attempt to respond in kind to not spoil their experience, but they better lead the conversation, because I'm hopeless.

On the other hand, my characters do have their own personalities, reflected in their skill sets. One reason I shy away from using soulstones if I can avoid it. They almost all have 'proper' names too, with first and last name. Though the puns I use make some people groan - which in turn makes me giggle.

One of the few who only has a single name was made at the invitation of an rp guild. She was destined to be a lich, so she needed a more exotic and unusual name. I called her Xorartep. Not a pun, but still with something of my quirky 'style'? The guild didn't quite pan out.

I admit to being a bit weird in the way I play. I'm not interested in collecting either gold or pixels, just doing things I find interesting. I once herded a greater dragon all around Ilshenar from Chaos to Valor. It got written up as an essay on herding for the site. No profit in it, but I enjoyed doing it.

The same character used to tour the champ sites herding left overs. On one occasion I found all the gold from the champ scattered all over the floor - hunter's gone. I decided if they didn't want it, I'd take it - but how? It was one of the ice locations, I forget which. I had no bag of sending, but because I usually included terra sanctum in the route I had a boat. I loaded all the gold onto the deck of the boat and sailed it to Papua. There I collected my pack llama from the stable and transported the gold to the bank. Silly maybe, but it was something out of the ordinary and I enjoyed it.

Most recently I've enjoyed playing with the graverobbers, but I did it with a bard I'm training. The way they bounce damage back and forth when a golem is provo'd on them is interesting. The columns of damage numbers going up made me smile and when I was really lucky they insta-killed each other. That didn't happen very often though.
Along the way I added music gears to the music boxes of 4 friends, got several thousand clean up points from handing in the gears that were already in all 4 boxes and power crystals and quite a lot of provo gains. Not quite sure how many, I forgot to make a note when I started. Love multipurpose hunts.
