Occasionally bravehorn will disappear while doing the escort quest and there's no way to continue the quest and it must be canceled in the menu. Once canceled, you are still considered on a escort and if you attempt to do the bravehorn quest again, or any other escort, it will not allow it as you "already have one". There is no fix a player can do, a GM must be paged to reset your character.
