Since Central Ilish is blocked off, is there a quest or something to gain access? (Access to the Ridgebacks there) ... I thought no, but someone on the 'help' channel said there was a quest to gain access...
I don't know how to get in, but if you are looking for ridgebacks, the better place to tame them is in the savage fort near there. You'll need a tribal paint, but otherwise they spawn in a small area and the savages will kill them for you if you are training taming.
Yes, there's a quest, but if you only want to tame ridgebacks, I tame them for my pet stall at the little oasis in the desert in front of the remains of Ver Lor Reg. Here's a map
Care to share the info for quest? I used to go in there and farm controllers for compassion sage.....

Thanks , i got there and said Greetings Help injured cure blood creature reward mountain catastrophe Then i headed to blood dungeon but could not find the corrupted Blood elly ... (i killed a few normal incase it needed to spawn) no luck... Did i do it correct?
How do you kill the blood elemental with a mage? I'll be honest I suck at fighting and can't seem to kill him.

other ridgebacks at savage locations besides in ilsh - camp right of Del, camp left of mountains by Cove city. might be some down from Destard where savages are I think they don't want many to participate in that part of the story - with the requirements they laid out, it got my cooperation to stay away, but i Would like to be able to play that area of the game again someday, preferably before all my cancer treatments start because i doubt i'll care after that. meh
