Guild Wars 2 will have 5 playable races with each race having racial abilities. In the original Guild Wars you could only be human. In Guild Wars 2 you will be able to choose these 5 playable races. 1) Human 2) Norn 3) Charr 4) Asura 5) Sylvari *Note that the Charr, Asura and Norn were introduced in the Eye of the North expansion in Guild Wars but as NPC quests and heroes. * Each race will have their own home city to start from.
