Not so you add dyes to them to change colour. So they didn't recolour the whole image. Daffodils and Bluebells
I would actually like colored plants if they looked like that. I think they do in the KR client but my understanding is that it would a monumental task to do that for 2d.
I doubt it would be such a task. There's other things ingame already that use a default colour so only part of the sprite has its colour changed. Loom, beds, fancy dress and dye tubs, probably a few others too.
Colored plants would be immensely more popular if they were colored like this. Right now most colored plants look pretty awful, imo.
I am in the minority who likes them the way they are...especially the whites i guess. I would rather there were a house deco tool option that would toggle any item locked down to be either way.
Oh I though you were gonna be talking about using plants to make new dyes (like slime colors, not the neon glow colors), but this is good too What would we do for non-flowering plants like cacti? just leave them?
I always thought the colored plants looked kind of ugly with the whole plant colored.. I think this would be a good idea, I know I would use plants alot more than I do now if it was this way.
all these years I have thought I was color blind. UO plants desperately need a updated look (and more umm... realistic) Yellow plants (and I agree, why the whole plant???) Look brownish. Red looks like burgandy (not the bright red, that one should be just red) the list can go on and on. I Love the sprites that have been submitted here! I have no idea why they can not run new sprites, and give UO a more updated/realistic look. If they have it in KR thats great, but I am stubborn (a mule has nothing on me), I love my 2D. Played 2D since day one, tried both 3D and KR, but those did NOT feel like UO to me. So for us stubborn old farts who refuse to do the KR thing, for various reasons, Please, Please, PLEASE, update the plants.
