I think he is saying that the filter would take care of hiding any bad words, but Kestrall censored himself when he didn't need to. I don't think ass gets blocked.
Just because it does not get blocked is not carte blanche to use the word as a personal attack. Just saying...
The filtered of the filteree wouldn't have been filtered so bypassing the filter isn't a problem because the filteree has no problems filtering the words himself when they don't need filtered in the first place.
