Log in issues

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know we are aware of the Log in issues and are working hard to resolve the problem. As soon as I have an ETA on the fix I will post here and let everyone know. The reason nothing is on the herald is that is down also!

So much for feeding the hamsters every day =P

Brownie points for Mesanna for communicating directly to the UO community about the log in downtime issues. We certainly do appreciate it and that's pretty much what most of us want to hear. "We're aware of the problem and were working on it". That's all we can really ask for is and most of us in the community are just looking for some type of acknowledgement.

In the past when something like this happens all we've gotten is silence and been kept in the dark.

I have been having a hard time with facebook also and this page was down other day and the main uo page.. Any how might be the internet is buged up!!

Is this related to the message I get when I try to log in? The UO-patch won't come up.



The reason I ask is, the other day my E-mail was not connected to the Internet so I couldn't send nor receive mail, and yet my computer was connected to the internet so I was able to log-in to UO to refresh recently regained Venerated Town Loyalty status on 5 characters.

Yeah, I'm getting that message too. I think a lot of people are.

That is indeed the Patch Error I get as well....was blaming my kids for jacking up my pc...guess I shall apologize to them in the morn *feels bad now*

Poor Vivacia. You know it is good to admit to your kids that you can make mistakes too...so remind them of this when they make mistakes, that it is good to own up and admit they are human. Life's a learning process all the time, anyhow.

Thank you Vivacia, cazador, and Alouenikah. This computer misfit can stop worrying now. When a computer related problem presents itself, I try fix it, and when everything I do fails, I usually wait until it heals itself, but when you can come to these forums and read, watch and listen and ask questions, it sure helps.

hah dang it, wish I had read this earlier. I thought my game may have gotten corrupted or something so I deleted it and was going to reinstall. I guess it wasn't my game after all. Oh well, yay for having to fully patch the game again when it is back up -_-

Don't feel bad. We've all done that too I bet. You learn from mistakes eventually. Next time WAIT for it to heal itself. Kick the computer. Then watch read ask questions. Imagine how many players are having the same problem as you right now, who don't read these forums? I am so glad I checked in here and relieved to learn that the problem isn't with my computer.

At this point, I would bet the login server bit the dust, and there is no budget for a replacement. (and of coarse no spare hardware laying around.)

Well.... I'ts like 4am there at the moment. I bet they just went "[censored]" and decided to work on it in the morning after they had some sleep.
