This whole feud is pointless. I don't understand whats so hard about each group playing the GAME the way they enjoy without adding all the extra drama and petty arguing on an internet message board.

While I do agree that it should be pointless, unfortunately there is alot of double talk going on. Everyone deserves to know the truth of the situation. Yes there has been a very high amount of "slinging" from both sides but that is only because many of us are frustrated at the situation.

Bottom line, if their Alliance would just own up to how things REALLY are, the rest of us would most likely shut up. The fact is remains however that they demonize pvpers for raiding them and pking and then they do the same all the while trying to hide that part of the equation.

You have picked completely dead shards PvP wise where the "underdogs" as you call them could quite easily spawn pretty much whenever they want!

During my brief stay on cats before leaving for PvP, TB alliance were nothing but free Punkte! No spawn was ever completed when any of us checked spawns. 1v5 we have taken TB spawns.

So my question is...what exactly are you offering??

Your alliance couldn't protect yourselves...how do you plan to protect others??

You have picked shards with almost 0 PvP, people can easily solo spawns all day on those shards. [believe me i have done]

What exactly do you bring that the "underdogs" couldn't do themselves?

Why not pick a shard like GL or ATL or PAC or CHESSY or any of the shards with PvP and ACTUAL underdogs!!!

Why does anyone care? Maybe I'm just of a different mindset, but I don't care what anyone else does in game for enjoyment. Spawn, Raid, Chase down chickens with a greater dragon while dressed in neon puke colors while RPing a mongbat, it doesn't effect me in the least. The only thing I can see in this whole thing that might be the tiniest issue is complaining about reds raiding spawns.

If you go to fel, be prepared for PvP. Reds can and will attack you. Its the nature of the beast. Complaining about being PK'd/Raided in fel is like complaining about getting cold when you go outside in Antarctica.

I love the global chat system for just this reason. Listening to the trash-talk while I'm playing is hilarious. It's like having a permanent personal IRL soundtrack composed entirely of Yakkety-Sax.

I find it extremely annoying and have had chat turned off since it was added because of it. Now that we can ignore posters I'll be able to start ignoring them, which is good. I don't get why they can't use the Fel chat for their bitching and moaning instead of the Tram one. It's like they want everyone to know how juvenile they are.

While your statment would be correct 4 months ago, severel people from different shards including, atl, great lakes and chessy have come to fight us... or join us.

Cats PvP is growing, we have some of the top pvpers in the game transfering here (to cats) as of late. Stop by sometime and you will see that.

Ohh and as far as "protecting ourselves," we have very little trouble "protecting" ourselves against your guild.

New ingame foes coming to Catskills.

Our ventrillo averages 22 players per night... busy with crafting to raiding...

I wonder if it would be simple for EA to change the ingame chat for a voice chat... but doing the math makes me believe that isn't possible at all...

I guess we'll have to use players ventrillos and their own effort to expand uo and reach new players...

Some thoughts and Questions for Cat.

First, some of you should be ashamed of yourselfs. Here is someone who is promoting community and not harassment and or griefing and what is the response from the pvp comminuty? Jokes and Insults. Why? Are you so unhappy with your own life that you must take every chance you get to down other people, their ideas and playstyle to make yourselves feel better? Honestly, you lose. And I am a member of a raiding/pvp guild of all friends.

1. No ATL???? WTF!!
2. We could use your spirit on Origin as well. Talk to myself or Mass on how to form an alliance.
3. Are you in factions? I am TB for life and wont leave, if I come on these hunts with you guys, will I be screwed for heals and resses because no one else is in a faction?
4. I am all scrolled out on most of my char, but how do you work scrolls people get that they dont need? Do you share? Or do the people that got them just keep them? Or is that a case by case basis dependent on the indivudal?

This actually seems interesting, now I can bring my Sampire/Whammy to spawns (great spawner/gimp for pvp)

I started with RP... then I got tired of being bashed and scorned by pkers... so I united a few players into a family... and called it the Gentle Rest Inn (you know, in UO, people come and go... this was 1998)
Nine years later we had explored everything, done everything in the game... so I decided to create the Tram Alliance. I had to fight some of my emmys to create the alliance... but was worth it.

I might not know everything good sir, but I do know what I see. Anyone can pick a night, to go to yew, and hang out with some tracking. They will pull up a HECK of a lot more then 5 active people all working together from your guild and affiliates and TB. That is my point.

OBSERVATIONS:

PvP verse PK: Kinda blended into similiar occupations. Originally back in the day ('99) some people would RP their PvP. "I am a Highwayman, give me your gold and you may pass..." And if you gave the gold you ACTUALLY passed unharmed.

Presently; "Hey look, a blue! Sic em!!" Where is the finess?

And if anyone goes on about how they do or do not do this in their guild/alliance/kin/organization I raise the Boy Scout flag in response.

Want proof? Pop over to Yew moongate in Fel (during normal hours) and run around a bit. I estimate 30 to 90 seconds before some hoon runs up and tries to gank you. Unless of course that is your fellow hoon's area.

So now PK and PvP are much closer in relation if not the same.

This Catskills guy is encouraging a sense of community. It appears the other sides are doing the same, if with hostility.

Ever been to Bosnia? The Serbs and Croats get along with no difficulty during the week-end border farmer's markets. It is only when some external "Leader" decides to stir them up through rhetoric that they become "aware" of their differences and decide they need to fight. Same in Afganistan, Iraq, Africa and so forth.

Actually I suggest all parties in this debate have elements of thuggery. Either you or your members are happy to gank the lone miner if that can happen (mine are all dexxers in disguse, I grew up preTram). So please leave off the sanctimonious harpings and realize you are both brutalizing over the same pie. You each want your piece and the other guy's.

And this is of course the heart of PvP/PK action. If not then everyone would PvE.

That aside, at least there is some emotive activity and it sounds fun but I have no toons (aside from a reward gatherer I think) on Catskills. And every moment away from developing the toons on Arirang/Atlantic/Drahenfels/Oceania/Pacific is not time effective for me. And in actuallity, PvP isn't usually as productive for character development.

But have at it. Jump up and proudly stating how you are better, different and so and so is worse. It does make for an interesting read.

And if nothing else, well done on sparking an interesting sideshow for the masses. Well done indeed.

This was said last time we turned up. The pvp was atrocious and most of us have barely logged onto cats since.

Protect yourselves?? Are you joking?? When we had 4 people up to the max of 7 we owned the shard, no-one could stop anything we did.

You all died many MANY times...then most of the time logged on stealthers and hid all day!

Maybe the rest of RICE read this and they see the challenge, i dont, i see more of the same. We would log on you all would hide and not fight after your first 5 deaths.

Because I made a toon last night on CS, wandered around and ran into one other player while in the wilds of Feluccia.

Started at the Yew moongate and started walking. Came across Gypsy camps and killed the Blues just to be grey (and get the loot - hey it is a newly created toon).

So...where does all this RP/PvP/PK action occur? Other than house ganks that is? Just curious, not a challenge, but Yo yo yo...it beez like da crypt y'all.
