Siege Ladies Night 2007 - *updated Jan. 21*

This event is open to anyone with a female character on Siege.

Ideas and help are welcomed from anyone!

On behalf of the ladies of Siege, and the good ladies of the Planning Committee, as Event coordinator, this is to advise the male population of Siege that we have determined it is in our best interests to take hostages for this event. This measure is not, as one male so eloquently termed it, merely to help protect our "little pink-clad behinds" (although that certainly doesn't hurt ) but rather for reasons quite beyond the capacity of the male mind to comprehend, so I won't bother to explain.

Here is the list of hostages we are demanding:

Sularis, Vanilla Ice of Treasure &amp; Treachery - TnT

Lindisfarne, Ingenious T-hunter of the Treasure Hunters of Britannia - THB
Felinious, Shadow Ranger of Wispwood Shire - CWS

The hostages as named above (or approved substitutes where applicable) shall be delivered to a pre-arranged location at the appointed time by their respective guilds (again, where applicable). We will come and "collect" them as we march along a pre-defined route. And a note to the male guildmates of the hostages: after you turn them over to us, do not plan on wandering too far, as we will also have use for you later.

You have a little over 7 days to make arrangements to deliver these hostages, each of which should be delivered to us on foot, with empty packs, and wearing only expendable normal clothing items. If our demands are not met, we shall have no choice but to march the entire Ladies group to the Heart of Siege, and thus kill the shard with a massive pink embolism. I think I am safe in saying no one wants that on their conscience!

I have a question about the new vet reward weapon engraving tool. What does it require in the way of resources to use, and if feasible, does anyone have one they'd be willing to use to help create some event souvenirs? I had in mind pink fans or something along that line.

Also, I think I should be able to muster up sufficient resources, with help, to be able to provide every "lady" with a set of agapite dyed barbed armor, and pink outerwear/accessories to start out in, so no worries for anyone about suitable attire to attend .

I realize this means we'll have some guys who play girls attending, and some girls who only play guys that won't be able to attend, but in-game gender is the only way I know how to qualify it.

Weekends aren't the best for me, so I might not be able to make this one looking at the dates on the poll thread. Sunday afternoons art shows, b/f's b-day is the 10....blah blah I could go on and on. LoL Have you given any thought to making this a reoccuring event like story nights and fight nights, so eventually everyone will get a chance to participate?

I think engraved pink fans would be a great memior of the evening; that is if we can find enough! I have enough low-end runics that I would be willing to burn through just to try to get some pink fans!

Fans keep the colour of the cloth they were made with if you choose "keep colour".
I was made a beautiful white fan on Europa, before Tokuno white dyes appeared!

oh yea, I forgot you make the fans with cloth! Well, I have plenty of pink fabric I can donate to make some fans. I also have several pinkish-purplish crappy weapons that we could engrave if anyone wanted something other than A fan.

No not all would have a chance to participate, we are a lot EU players, a week evning would mostly around 2 am our time, sure not good if you hve to get up for work 6 am

I really need a Orc-Brit dictionary. Last time I spoke to an Orc was on Serpent's Hold, and it took me 5 minutes before I realise he was asking for a gate off the island.

I can set us up in a vent channel if we decide to do that.

If there are people who want the vent server, and you are willing, then I think that would be very nice. However, I know for a fact I can't run it on my PC.

I can use vent when I not doing real movement in UO, and do not have UOSU, UOAM, or UOTH [t hunter] on as well. When I am doing all that then the vent lags me down, but when its not on I do very well.

I can do Vent when I am not in game with no troubles, except my guild mates tell me that my mic sounds really sick for some reason, yet to me it seems aok. really no clue why it sounds bad to them, so I just agree that my mic sucks and just go on. [beside it cost me less then $15.00 at Best Buy and I am happy with it].

If you do provide a vent link, I will be on, just listen for the quite little mouse. That will be me.

I'll donate gems for the engraving tool, as well as some agapite ingots (well 5k or so) I also have a ton of dull hammers to give whatever items are made a tiny touch of "spice" to them. Just let me know where / when.

My PC is almost always riding the edge of max used hard drive space - it is an old PC with a small HD, and an onboard FM synthesis sound card (LOL). My speakers cost $5, and one has a loose wire. I am not really comfortable with the voice chat thing anyway, so even if my PC could handle it, I doubt I'd run Vent.
