At nine o'clock Eastern time (9:00 PM EST) on Saturday, March 28, Traveling Bard's Night will be hosted by Kate Hawkings once again at the New Port Theater. The event is sponsored by PGoH. The rules of bard's night are simple: * Leave your conflicts at the door and bring your stories with you. * No harsh obscenities are to be used in your stories. * There will be a time limit (usually five minutes, but subject to change due to the number of storytellers). * All stories must adhere to the theme: "Swords and Sorcery." The top three will win cash prizes and will be given an invitation to the champions event at a later date. The prize will be divided as follows: 500,000 gold crowns for first place; 325,000 gold crowns for second; and 175,000 gold crowns for third. Judging will take place by three crowd members chosen at random, who will decide on the winners. New Port Theater's coordinates are 13. 42'S 2. 19'W in Malas, and gates will be run from New Haven starting at approximately 8:30 to give people time to come sign up. See you there!
Yesss! Usually for songs people just emote playing an instrument every so often, etc. But don't feel like that's what you're limited to. It's just an idea if you were stuck.
It will be hard to top last week's Eban Poetry Jam as it will now be called. This is one that will hopefully be truely entertaining and hopefully no killing of fairies in front of the leader of them although that was a great laugh.
The subject: Swords & Sorcery, fits in perfectly with the story of the curse placed upon Kaylor's father, Craig McKairin, knowledge & understanding of which is crucial to Kay's trial defense. Tonight he will be telling this tale. If anyone is interested in becoming a juror at Kaylor's upcoming trial, (details to soon follow - will be a Cats community event) would be good background info to become familiar with. Hope to see you there!
Ok...sadly I didn't successfully take a screenshot. But if memory serves. Third place went to: Kaylor Second place went to um...James First place went to Va'lis All the stories were good, and picking a first, second and third was no easy task. Thank you all who came, and told stories.
It was Kaylor in third, James in second and Va'lis in first. A lot of people weren't happy with the choice of Va'lis for first though.
IC, that is. *cue Piper storming out and half the audience refusing to clap* OOC, I did like it. Oh, and why wasn't Aneirin there?! *GLARES MOST STERNLY.*
And to think all that shiny moneys would have gone to someone else if people would have volunteered to judge hehe
