Appreciate the effort and the doing of something. But, I have to be honest.... Would have been better if the Dragon and UO symbols were in color. And you can barely see the Ultima Online... ugh
The 2nd file wasn't up when that was first posted. Still- it's better- but in the first one, you can't even see the UO in the middle in the back (if it's even there, maybe I'll load it up in photoshop and look).
I am too. Oddly enough I did not know this until the U.S. Navy tested me and told me I was no longer qualified for my chosen "guaranteed" school of choice... Life is funny like that. Instead of learning to be an electrician and high tech fun stuff... I became a boiler tech. A dead end, obsolete direction. Oh well... I still like the B&W version and it would make for an awesome T-shirt.
On the first image, I can barely make out the Ultima Online in the bottom left corner. Evidently, there is a UO symbol in the middle back- I cannot see it at all without enhancing it in photoshop. The 2nd one is better. The image in the bottom left is clearer and I can see a hint of the UO in the middle.
I just downloaded them. Please tell me whomever did these with the near invisable Ultima Online symbol and name to the left of the dragon isn't a UO Dev... These got slipped by Q.C. Edit: There's a larger UO symbol behind the smaller one as well.
I used a photo program Enhance function on the color one and got the name & smaller symbol to stand out more. Lost the large symbol but it now does indeed make a great wallpaper.
I hate to say this but thank gods I'm female and have that extra half a chromosome. Because you all do know that the "trait" for colorblindness is more often a man thing because you all are missing the good genes on the other side to counter it right? *laughs* Enjoy. I like them both... but then I'm VERY fond of dragons.
I'm not color blind or at least I don't think so. Maybe I need to be checked. *groan* I have difficulty seeing Ultima OnLine on the black banner. Can only see it vaguely. So I copied both versions to my Adobe too and will check them out there in a moment. Firstly though, I have a question: I Thought these banners were for using in the game in a house. Or are they for using in real life. haha I think real. Next problem is that when I try to downloaded the bannes, I get a company called RARLAB saying "Pleae Purchase WinPAR License" and "Please note that WinPar is not free software. After 40 day trial period you must either buy a license or remove it from your computer." Are we supposed to pay this company for a license just so we can download the 15th year banners? If I sound like a computer dummy it's because I am one.
It's nothing to do with the download. At some point in the past, you installed the WinRAR demo, and it's the default program for opening up ZIP files on your computer apparently. You should be able to extract the files with Windows explorer, depending on what version.
Aren't old boilers usually the start of high end BBQ smokers? laser cutting and simple programming for computer fed fuel pellets, there's some market for that
Thank you Woodsman. It must be a program my son downloaded on my computer ages ago. First time I have ever seen it.
The Navy was the precise way that I, too, found I was Color Deficient (few are actually "color blind"...most people have varying degrees of it due to a lack of the proper rods and cones in the eye that help discern color). I had absolutely NO idea as I see plenty of colors...just not the way people that have all the proper eyeball hardware see things. I was GOING to be a Nuke, but ended up as a Ship Storekeeper once they determined I wasn't going to be able to tell the difference between red and green (I guess that is pretty important in the electrical world etc.) I do like both versions, but the second one is definitely easier for my old eyes to see!
