So, where is the mage stuff. Headpeices, ect? I see stuff that is leet for dexxers but little in the way of helpful mage gear. Come on guys, make us mages happeh too!
Definitely is a shield that will be in high demand despite that RPD. Hell, with that shield, a 4/6 wrestle SW template would be rocking. Or a way to negate Stone Forms FC penalty. The lenses will also be a good pvm headpiece, maybe even a good pvp piece (Thinks of a 18 HPR Stealth Deathstriker)
Whoops yeah I meant for PVM. Plus most PVPers will be using the faction versions which are obviously better.
2 FC on a SC shield is a bit much..... not to mention the DCI and LMC. Jeebus Very curious to see what type of weapon Brightblade is. Something with those stats is bound to be useful. Either way, nice job on coming up with new arties instead of going with the others
are you referencing to my 4/6 chiv/weaver/anatomy/mage tempalte? lol 120 chiv 120 resist 100 anatomy 120 med 81 spellweave 120 eval 69 magery Looks like ill have ditch my arcane shield, pickup this hephastus shield and instead of ring of soulbinder use a 3 fcr imbued ring with.. U know I dont know, with this shield ima have to remake my entire suit to make it better lol EDIT: In all honesty though, seeing as how that shield would work nicely on a parry mage template, I bet if they removed the 80 dex requirement for parry to be effective then u'd see more parry mages out there and less people complaining about thrower gargoyles lol.
Mesanna made a post a day or 2 ago in a thread that's dedicated to the artifacts in particular. I don't recall the title. Anyway, the implication of that post was that these artifacts were replacing, not supplementing, the existing Covetous Artifacts. The Herald post should have, I suggest to them, been worded better. What they wrote was "adjusted the number and properties of the artifacts found in Covetous and purchased from Vela," which can be read either way. -Galen's player
Wow those are much improved! Thank you for the new versions. Assuming these are Ephemeral, they should be brittle and unrepairable with 250 durability. Hopefully you can get new ones with a little work. I will have to test on TC, but I hope all of the items are alterable for gargoyles so they ar not human/elf only.
Much better artifacts, I actually want to replace my shield now - even though this one has RFD. I agree with the request for a few more mage-related artifacts, especially something with decent resists and SDI.
Are you kidding me. That has more than 1K property weight. it has 6 properties at 100 intensity and one at freakin 300 intensity. That crap has no business being in game. That piece alone is half a freaking suit.
These actually remind me of Artifacts. Those 'labeled' artifact, as from Shame are more appropriately, Relics - old, non-practical. and maybe they did it on purpose, trash arties we unravel, the others we'd actually be proud to use.
The FC2 is sweet and makes the item, and the DCI is nice. The LMC is an okay bonus and the rest is just kinda filler. Reflect Fizzical Damage?
The shield is not a true FC 2. Remember SC adds FC -1. The shield will end up similar to the Arcane Shield with SC and FC1 overall. It is still powerful, but not as powerful as you make it.
that shield is a bit too much.... drop one of the two FC lol those glasses are a sampires dream come true. And holy hell i hope the brightblade isn't a DP weapon. Solus, u farming TC yet to see wtf that weapon is? oh god... its prolly a katana (blade of insanity) *facepalm* what a weapon.... everyone will be swords fighting parry mages with that shield on haha
This old Sage is interested in Bullet point number 5 "These are the changes to the previously posted Publish Notes: Expect cliloc errors on TC1 till early next week when we put out a new client. God I swear you people are crazy. Many bitched the artifacts sucked now you're bitching that they are too powerful. Regarding the shield, that artifact may finally be the long sought replacement for my FC1, HCI 15, DCI 15 shield my Paladin has used for many years. It's an awesome shield and honestly I believe more what the Aegis should have been from the beginning.
Actually, as posted that would make that shield FC3. It not listed with FC-1 with means it's already been negated.
Pretty good comment about the shield. It may be high in property weight but that's due mostly to the FC2. The rest of it isn't that spectacular. All together though it makes that a very nice shield for a Paladin or a Mage. I'm glad they picked the shield for an increased upgrade. Good and useful artifact shields have been lacking for a long time.
So basically you can get non-Ephermal versions of these arties as drops. I assume they'd be the drops from Cora, and she's pretty tough, considering that "blue-lightening" ability she does that spreads across the floor, If you step in it your current mana drops to 0. so mana is an issue when fighting her for sure. I like
Technically it is 2 if you consider SC comes with -1 +2 fc = 1 fc. Maybe she just posted the raw stats on it?
The Blight of the Tundra is a bow and the Brightblade is a katana. That's not how ephemeral works, I'm not sure where you got that from. The max durability is the current durability, that's what ephemeral means. You also can't repair or powder them. They'll still last a long time--except for the brightblade, which will likely last less than a half hour due to splintering. Congrats, looks like they used a few of your concepts =) I can see why people are upset about RPD, but other than guardzone situations and things like Medusa, what else makes RPD a bad thing? Like for the longest time I remember there were flag issues with RPD so I never used it for PvP @ Yew, and for PvM RPD sucks if you do Medusa because each time you hit Medusa with damage she procs a chance to turn you into stone--and I guess other mobs that can proc on hit like Slasher, Dark Father, Stygian Dragon, etc.
I'm thinking I don't like the "splintering" mod, maybe as an expensive PVP weapon, dunno, might as well have 'uses' on it, which, like a shovel, is Not taken into combat, altho it should have a damage rating with UBWS attached. Anything subject to unpredictably going poof, especially a combat weapon (thinks multi-use glass dagger) is just not a good design, imo.
I can't help wondering what effect rpd has on executioners and grave robbers - especially after I had such fun bouncing graverobbers by provoking golems on them. Has anyone tried that?
Thanks! I am really excited about the glasses with HLD and DI. I'm making a new warrior on Napa and I was thinking I was going to have to collect 12M gold to buy M&S Glasses since the vendor market there doesn't have any. This will fit great in a future suit. I also think all 5 items are alterable so they should be usable by all races alike. I read another thread where a TC tester had an artie drop in their pack. I'm interested to hear if that is a 255/255 repairable/POF-able version and how it differs from the ones you can purchase with points in Minoc.
Somewhere, In the future, I'd like to see lenses be given their own slot, I can never remember if they take the neck or head slot. also, and nothing to do with this publish, but is there a shortage of Arms and Aprons? I find a nice array of Chests, legs, head and weapons, but few for the arms slot, fewer for apron. apron could also become a Kilt couldn't it?
They do a terrible reflect... I avoid hitting them with anything other than a RC... To hit them with my archer would be total suicide. And to do even try repond on it I think would be an overkill... I get massacred enough on my own.
I feel the same way about Blood Oath. One should not be able to hit them soo hard that it kills the striker - all the while the other side is free to attack as they please. It took about 4-5 deaths at my own hands to where I just don't play that, and move on to something else.
Only thing I'm worried about now is getting an gargoyle version of an arty I want to be human ;P. Well we know the one Promathia got off Cora was POF-able, which suggests they would have been imbueable as well. On the bracelet, the HPR 10 is 500 intensity alone, but I'm curious if you could scale the HPR down. I have to double check my math but you could downgrade to 5 Hit Point Increase, 2 Hit Point Regeneration, 15 Defense Chance Increase, 15 Eater and have 90 intensity left...unfortunately +10 skill would take it to 503...but maybe like 4 Hit Point Increase, 2 Hit Point Regeneration, 15 Defense Chance Increase, 15 Eater, 10 Necro [481 INT]...I'd dig that for a sampire
POF-able doesn't mean it would be imbuable. It most likely means you can repair it. This would be like any other artifact rarity 11 labeled item in game. I'm ok with getting temporary suit pieces with points, but it would be great to have a chance to eventually earn one that is permanent from Cora that is like all other arties.
