Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler Minions....
[hide= Ok, Slim is there. I said greetings -- slim -- no --- buying --- aye --- deal He wants me to pay him gold for info. He wont take gold. I tried up to 5000. I guess I should be in exodus dungeon? I just noticed the box next to slim. It was a very unevenful trip. Clearly I am not a puzzle solver.[/hide]
anyone else noticing no system messages being sent to the EC? dbl clicking the nexus gives me no information.
Directions for once you have gotten to the special place... Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler Kill minions until you get a Mechanical Component (white/cream-colored loopy thing, has a timer.) Have an Adept of better tinker 'use' it to create an exotic tool kit. One you have the tool kit (which is good for 167+ hours!) use that on a Nexus. This will open up the jewel-maze mini game. Beat the game to get a card (the tool kit can be used over and over.) Place the card into the card reader box (NE area of central room) and receive... probably nothing. I'm 15+ cards into this without earning a damn thing....
I noticed there is different size of puzzles aswell different color key cards, so some might be worth more points or be more important than others. Lockpicking will give you tips on next path aswell
Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler over 30 cards now and nothing
So am I ever going to be able to read a coherent write-up of WTF is going on, or is this going to be another one of those events that like 5 people on the forums do and you never hear a peep about from anyone in-game? Any loot? Any monsters? Anything?
Yeah but WHY am I going to the basement of some random tavern and then off to kill robots for punchcards? The published fiction wasted its time jerking around about some guy fleeing some castle, rather than... you know... explaining this stuff. And I'm about to log into the game and play, wiseass, but I guarantee nobody will be talking about this crap. After the first couple days of rioters this whole stupid event arc dropped completely off the radar of public in-game discourse as far as I can tell.
Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler after about 50 i got the item. a Nexus Deed
Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler 50?! Yeash... /wrists Does it look like the repaired ones? Does it do anything?
Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler Been thinking about this.... We are repairing Exodus's link to Britannia (the Nexus link to the Etherial void) each time we solve a nexus puzzle. This can't be a good thing... If the reward is a nexus of our very own, to be littered across the facets... That reallycan't be a good thing...
Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler When I went down in the basement I didn't ask or give him anything. I dbl clicked the container on the floor. got a decoded T-map, 60sec lifespan - said get a shovel Quick! It was for the far NW corner of Garg city. Needless to say, silly me didn't have a shovel at the moment - poof
Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler indeed, and yes its the same as the repaired one except it dont have sparkles
as i suspected, the pin would be in the mountain just outside of the city. The only thing I saw in the area was a remaining gate to Brit, which I saw yesterday. Oh, and the insta-spawning paragon exodus overseer that's there? Good luck trying to find the healer in a black & white city while dead. That's not a spoiler, that's BS! On my return, I was promptly frozen for about 30seconds (not a para), glad i had parry and high HPR. I'll let someone else go check it out
Nimauq and I sat fiddling with this for about an hour together, and here's what we discovered; Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler You will need to get to Ver Lor Reg, the Gargoyle City to get inside Exodus Dungeon. Find someone with a Crystal Portal and say "Ilshenar Mint" to arrive. (On Europa, there's one at the New Player House immediately south of Trinsic Moongate) At the city, go up stairs in the back rooms in the NW corner. Click the rope there to enter. You need to kill Exodus Minions to get a random shot at the gubbins. The mystic gubbins can be traded, as can the tinkered key. You don't need to go inside on a crafter. A combat capable character is probably wise, or luring all the spawn off and staying somewhere quiet. We saw no new spawn, but being Ilshenar, some of it can be Paragons of course, so be careful. Between the two of us, the safe nodes near the entrance were enough to keep us both solving without overlapping. If you have a tamer and a Cu Sidhe, like I did, you can get it to heal you between the paralysing lightning bolts for getting the puzzle wrong. At full 70s resist you can fail maybe 3 in quick succession before it proves fatal, but it will also quite quickly wreck your armour durability. There were, so far, about 12 different coloured Punchcards we found between us... some of the colour shades are quite subtle. We only had 1 colour each the other didn't, but I didn't get more than 2 duplicates on any, which indicates that I doubt we've exhausted the entire set of colours by any means. I got about 30 and Nimauq around 25 ish cards in total in that time. None of us were rewarded with anything. So it remains open as to whether it's a random ticket of any colour, a "Golden Ticket" type deal, or a set (higher than 30) figure to trigger the reward. The puzzles aren't hard at all, and it's probably just as quick to do it the old Pen and Paper fashion rather than having a lockpick; You can simple write down each direction as you go. And there's a tendency for it to be either streaky in a single direction, or to alternate in a snakey pattern, and usually Up doesn't tend to turn up often at all. My longest was on a 6x6 grid and went Down, Down, Right, Right, Right, Right, Down, Left, Left, Left, Down, Left, Down, Right, Right, Up, Right, Down, Right, Up, Right, Down, and done. And of course didn't award anything either. Pray people... pray it's not just another hidden grind. But at least this art is better than the Juka statues. If questionable lore wise as pointed out? We shall just have to see.
Am I the only one that's noticed this: "Cracked Viewing Cyrstal" Maybe that's why Atlantic went down for awhile - they were busy fixing this egregious, life-altering mistake.
*double clicks a deed and tries to place on a tile...tries a 2x2 area...how about 3x3...unlocks more items in the house and finally squeezes it in...realizes I'm stuck in my house and cannot get to the door.* Thank goodness for leave house command!
this nexus thing looks like a piece of giant robot... maybe as 15 anny reward we will get all the pieces to build Mazinga?
Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler Hm so the mechanical component off the minions has a 260k timer. Had to probably kill two dozen before I got one but I did get a Blaze of Death arty from a paragon ;d.
Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler i got my mechanical tool after killing 10 minions, and i also got a paragon arty, burlars bandana lol - but thats NOTHING to do compared whats next - i am at 34 tickets i turned into the machine and didnt get the nexus deed yet - i heard of people turned in 60 TICKETS than got one...its hard work doh!
So who else became lazy after five minutes and refused to solve anything other than the 3x3 grids? ;D
Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler 16 cards in myself...if they reveal this system is like the bless system on npcs/blue crystals for robe I will cry haha
I actually love the large ones With the exception of the insane amount of paras, I'm finding this super fun
Man, start crying, i am at 43...this is the last part i participate on that event...this cant be seriously meant by the devs...i will go back fishing for good..
Well what I mean is if the system is based on a total turn-in amount (like blue crystals) from all the players which rewards the lucky one rather than a cumulative per user objective randomized by an RNG then it's another flawed system in which the only way to "win" is to dump 50-100 at once.
