Kai Schober, Bonnie 'Mesanna' Armstrong and many others from the Mythic team joined Rob 'Grakulen' Lashley and Hillary 'Pokket' Nicole for their Wayback Wednesday series on MMORPG.com's Twitch TV channel. They grouped up to face the various hordes inhabiting the newly redesigned Covetous Dungeon on TC1. The live stream took place on Wednesday, 5/16 and lasted for over two hours! Did you miss it? If so, MMORPG posted the videos on their site: Video 1 Video 2 Continue reading...
I'm now forever curious as to WHY no ONE told that poor sap that he should just go back and double click his corpse after being rezed and *poof* his gear would automatically re-equip and he wouldn't have to waste 2 or 3 minutes getting geared back up.
I watched the whole thing and wrote a few things down that I felt were important nuggets, and Phoenix gave an exact description of how ephemeral works, which helped out a lot. Basically Sudiva will be moved (as chosen by the player base) and that's pretty much the only thing worth writing about that I heard other than how ephemeral works. Overall, not much new stuff, was just more fun to watch them fight, die, have fun. That said, I enjoyed the stream, and appreciate the "Wayback" series. Now to find out a strategic way to use ephemeral .
I believe they should had made it on normal shards not on TC. Are the new stuff not on Origin now? Being a newbie is a part of UO, they could still bring him everywhere. Then they could had showed him the harder stuff on TC when he had learned the basic of moving, paperdoll, fighting, looting, dying. UO is also player houses, crafting, town and player vendors. Then the PvP part, here they should have taking him to Siege instead of a TC moongate fight. This 2 vidios do not sell the game very well.
I asked Grak--as "xG" (xGvPx during chat)--why they didn't do Atlantic or Siege, if it was just because Test was easier to setup everything, and he said that was the case, they went for TC because it was the easiest. TC1 content is currently on Origin, though, yes. I think the best bet would be Atlantic as far as getting enough players involved to spark interest, but TC1 does allow everyone to port their chars over.
I rather meant the transcripts of the chat on their website. Which I wasn't party to but they were apparently reading questions from. I noticed you could join the live chat if you were a member but not being a member I wasn't able to join it. Not sure if anyone else was or they could send some sort of recording of that.
I'm anxious to read the part where Mesanna was asked twice about the game having its own website (initially, and then a confirmation). I was startled by the response.
i had to laugh pretty hard to myself that one of the bank doors was missing on the bank in new haven for their demonstration. plus... shoulda showed the classic client =/
