10 Year Vet Account gets SHUT DOWN

    Was playing like normal today, got something bugged about picking stuff and logged off to reset my char. Tryed to log back in and got the "no pay, no play" screen. At that point my insides went cold... Everyone elses problems was suddenly on my front door step.

    Im not the type of person that likes to play the internet chase down game. Im the kind of guy that figures if you can take my CC info over the phone, then you can damn well turn my account BACK ON over the phone.

    So I call the phone number the game gives you when you ask for one in the Mythic search engine... A number I've never heard of before. 2 button choices later and 20 secs hold time and I'm talking to a guy that walks me thru everything hes doing on his end and he PROMISES me a call back at my phone # if I lose conn while transfered to tier lvl 2. I lose conn of course and a hour later no call.

    I call back and get given to a guy named Galen, and this is where Mythic won me over. This dude stayed with me for a total of 3 hours and 3 call backs. My main account is on and my other 3 are turned off but linked to my main account. This guy was a absolute GEM. Granted I may have been triple billed, and someones account that I have no idea who it is, is also linked to mine, but dammit my mains on and my stuffs safe.

    Heres some things that screwed me up that I want to pass on:
    1st... 3 of the accounts were given to me and I had no idea what the E-Mail accounts names were. What saved me here was being assertive that "I" was the owner because "I" had the CC info on hand and he who pays for the account IS THE LEGAL OWNER of said account.

    2nd... The AGE of the owner seemed to be absolutely important. No idea why but I was asked for my roomates date of birth about 15 times.

    3rd... That damn underscore (_)uo thing is a pain in the ass. Even Galen the 2nd time around didn't know about it. On that part we helped each other out and were able to get everything completed.

    4th... Linking accounts is the easiest part. All you have to do is enter the account name (dont forget the damn _uo) and the PW. Poof Done.

    With that I have NO IDEA WHY everyone is having so many issues. Granted I got someone that actually cared the 2nd time but PLEASE, it wasn't really that hard. I'm going to tell everyone to stop playing the "Hopeful" typing game and pick up the phone and CALL them. Choice one for Origins and choice 2 for other games. Both times it was a 30 secs or less wait and BOTH rep's were pleasant HELPFUL voices.

    Anyone that has issues and can't log in won't be heard by me.:sleep2:

    I wanted to add that MY above experience was when I couldn't get my account to work thru normal means. Ultimately it had something to do with 2 different systems not reconizing 2 different E-mail addresses and couldn't migrate both information databases together. This also had something to do with the payment system not being able to charge my CC based on incorrect E-mail info. As soon as he corrected one of the addresses everything worked fine.

    I had some issues a couple weeks ago myself. I had my account associated with an old Hotmail account I let expire. I had to get them to unlock the pw because I couldnt remember it, but couldn't acces the email account since I no longer existed. Most of the guys were actually helpful. I probably spent 3 hours total doing it after disconnects.

    If you get "beau" or "Bo" just ask for someone else. Not only did he come across as ignorant about the system he wasn't vey helpful. On my 2nd or 3rd call after waiting on hold 15 minutes, his computer shutdown on him right as I explained my issue. He took my number and said he would call me back. Of he never did. So I call back, hit option 1 for origin, then 2 since there is no UO option. Waited on hold 10 min then again 15 min. And got beau again. After he said he couldn't help me I just hung up, called back, and got an incredibly helpful person who said "UO gamers are the most dedicated I have ever seen, I feel for you guys going through this, I get a ton of calls."

    Two of my accounts shut down mid-day too. I had kind of expected it because I had not activated the cc info on them on purpose, as kind of a test. Had me freaking out for a little bit until I was able to go to the Account Management site and verify they were just "closed" because they had no credit card information on them. As soon as I added the card info, they were back on again.

    I had really expected them to be inactive first thing in the morning, not in the middle of the day!!

    Okay.... one question. Last time I checked on the one account we had opened, I was paid through November (I had the 6-month billing option). DO I have until November to figure out that damn website/ billing system or do I need to figure it out NOW?

    Theoretically, yes you could wait until then. But I'd be too antsy to wait until then and would want to verify that the Account Management system is still showing you're paid up until then! You may also want to get your other UO accounts linked to an EA Account just in case you suddenly get the urge to reactivate any of them!

    new log in isnt really that hard, just take thought each answer, most are having problems had multiply names, unlinked accounts not same email attached , credit cards, and emails!!! best though hate this answer use latest patched IE to log in as website has issues with rest.

    Dont wait my account of 12 plus years ,same email and credit card all these years and been on 6months payment since they came out and out of the blue I was disconnected.I was paid up thru oct 2011!
