Sorry bud, I think you are out of luck. I have pulled 100%ers off of all differnt monsters, and none more than another.

But if you really want something to go after, I would suggest hunting the monsters with the biggest loot packs, that way you will have more crap to sort thru and a better chance of a 100% Elly weapon. Think, Red Death, Paragon Balrons, Yamandon, Silk, Sabrix, along those lines.

    - Heh. I find your posting style amusing, and quite telling. So,

All monsters that have a chance of dropping 100% for an item type can drop a 100% damage weapon.

    Go have fun now :)

If you are looking for JUST the elemental properties, I would imagine youd be better served in just trying to craft them.

But if you want to get them from monster drops I'd say aim for mid level creatures like blood elementals, cause they can give 100% intensity, and can give items with just one or two properties.

Its gonna be realllly hard getting what you want off of monsters I hate to tell you.

I've been collecting them for the last 5 years.. wish I could say there was one class I've had more success with, but I've never seen a discernible pattern.

Try Hiryus and Lesser Hiryus. I kill them all the time to get high property items to unravel for imbuing and often get 100% elemental damage wepons.

Just want to point of the flaw with this logic. If all monsters can drop them and you kill a lot of a certain monster then of course you're going to see a lot of them. It's not because what you're killing drops them alot it's because you're killing a lot.

Just kill things dude and wait to get lucky. There's no magic to it.

Pretty much, you just find things with large loot packs, and kill lots of them.

If you want something that is AoS or earlier equipment, make the things killed be in Trammel, Fel or Ilshenar, so as to not have the item pool diluted with elf, samurai or gargoyle junk.

If an SE item, kill things in Tokuno

If an Elf item, kill things in ML dungeons

If it's a gargoyle-only item, farm in Ter Mur or the Abyss.

Those are the only real guidelines.

PS: No matter if an item is
    a. 90% physical, 10% one element
    b. 20% each in all elements
    c. 100% in one element
    d. Anything in between these

Elemental damage is considered a "Toggle" property. It's either there, or not there. Back when elemental damage was counted in Imbuing for unravel/crafting costs, and runic crafting (or being enhanced with anything), ANY form of elemental damage was 100% intensity property, even if only 10% wasn't physical.

Dull copper hammers are your best friend!!

Failing that, something that also drops another worthy item.

I farm the demonds in the prism for crystals to make gorgon lenses and they have a pretty good drop rate for elemental wepons.

I dont usually pick them up unless there 100% and clean as i find runic hammers far easier and faster, plus the bonus of them being exceptional

Ummm ... actually every monster can drop a 100% elemental weapon. :p
As basara already stated, there are no different intensitys on elemntal damage shift. If I remeber right, i got most of my poison weapons from low level monsters. (Actually earth elementals but thats becourse i have killed them really often.)
If you would prefer a crafted weapon with damage increase and 500% intensity capacity (4 imbuable mods) or a weapon with 450% intensity capacity (5 imbuable mods) must be your own decision. Personally i cant remember getting any 100% elemental weapon from runics this far.
Actually I would say t-hunting would be a very good place for looking after such weapons. What you usually dont want, is a luck boost on your items. The more mods on it, the greater is the chance, that those mods screw up your imbuing desires. You can do questing in heartwood, too, for such weapons. (I got 2 magical shortbows there and an ornate with 100% elemental.)
