110 healing...worth it?

Discussion in 'UO Players Corner' started by OneLastBreath, Aug 1, 2008.

  1. I had a friend give me a healing scroll...110.

I was reading UOguide and they seem to say (in the actual guide on healing) there is no benefit. Your healing depends on your dex and level...but does 110 and 120 dex heal super fast?

With 110, you heal more damage and succeed in ressurecting more often.

You heal faster with each 20 points of dex, so 120 will give you faster heals than 110. Most people's objective for healing is to get to 140 dex for 2 second heals.

Actually, 2 sec delay is fastest healing rate in healing others (I'm sure that's what Farsight meant) and for this you just need 120 Dex. For healing yourself you can't heal faster than with 4 sec delay but for this you need at least 140 Dex. That's why finding a partner for cross-healing is always the best choice.

You didn't mention the height of your Anatomy skill which is important for the calculation of the healing amount too. Did you already check the Stratics Healing Calcutator?

Enhanced bandages will give the the same bonus concerning healing amount as +10 Healing skill - which is not that much.

IMO, it is worth using the scroll, but NOT training 10 more points in healing.

Use the scroll so that you can gain the benifit of using fountain-treated bandages.

They let you heal as if you had +10 skill, but only if your cap goes that high over what you actually have. So if you Have 100 skill and a cap of 110, you gain full advantage from the treated bandages. :)

It doesn't make Much difference 100 vs 110, but there are times when every little bit counts.

those enhanced bandages help even if you dont use the scroll,
if you have the pts, use the scroll, you will gain about 2 pts of healing extra per heal and a slight better chance of curing yourself on the first try when your poisoned.

i would also use those enhanced bandages anyway.. i use them all the time on my warrior, they help alot.

now, if you had the gold and no pts left i would throw out the 110 healing, and get 110 anatomy.
this way you double gain, you get the 2-3 pts extra per heal, plus 5% extra anatomy bonus for combat. or get both.

it really depends on your template and your play style.
