Hi all, these are the questions

    1) Bushido/Chiv Stat
i'm going to build war with bushido and chiv, the template i think to use is:
    weapon 120 (sword?/fenc?)
    tactics 120
    anatomy 120
    parrying 120
    bushido 120
    chivalry 100
want to play in PvM and i combat with a group of monster for now.
I reach stat cap and maybe isn't what i need for my war. now i have 125 STR, 124 DEX, 11 INT. Maybe its better change some point to another?
the skills are personal and everyone can build what they want, but maybe the stat need a little attention?
    suggestions pls!

    2) So... for survivability?
the second question is: after read that template, what equip are better for build most survivability?
Now i have sword, it's good?
    my template need restyling?
    suggestions pls!

    :)

I run 125/125/10 for stats, and I doubt that 1 point of dex to int will make any difference.

As for survivability, how do you plan to heal?

This is important question: i think to use Chiv or Bushido, but this cant help in a crowd situation. Maybe Healing can help in this case. so... need to delete Chiv. I prefer Survey instead of Damage.
But i think to delete bushido too. Parrying is little more with bushido with full skills (+5%), but shield can reduce damage incoming, true?

    1. Why not 120 chiv? No reason to not have 120 chiv on this template.
    2. Weapons with AI or Double strike with maxed hit life leech will keep you alive in most situations with this template. Just make sure to reforge appropriate 100% elemental damage double axes to imbue with slayers and reforge either 100% elemental or 100 hit mana leech bladed staves to use.

I run this template in one of my characters and she can survive pretty well. Confidence will help with healing on tight situations, as you gain life back with each successful parry, but you will need a good amount of mana on your suit to keep spamming DS/AI/Whirlwind to stay alive when fighting.

    1. What stats you need depend on so many other factors but mainly what weapons you intend to use and what you can have on your suit. There is no point having an odd number for Str as it only gives HP in evens. But again that needs tieing in with your equipment. Personally I try to always have 150 HP on every character, which means +25 str on gear and 25 HP on gear. I factor in what Stam/SSI I need to swing the weapons I intend to use (which I base on base damage and special moves) at the cap, sometimes with a buffer of 10 Stamina, sometimes without depending on how defensive the template is. If you're not using bandages you don't need Dex you need Stamina. Dex affects bandage speed, Stamina is what your swing speed is based on. What's left goes into Int/Mana which should be 50+. Fencing weapons generally speaking are faster and therefore need less Stamina/SSI to swing at the cap but also do less base damage.

I don't think you're planning/building a suit the way I or some others here might where every point is specifically factored in. So I would say for now go 124 Str, 120 Dex, 16 Int.

    2. I think you should put Bushido on a Soulstone and replace it with Resist or Healing until you have more experience.

Unrelated to this thread just asking for myself, but assuming SSI/HCI/DI are all capped from all other means, what purpose does 120 Chivalry serve? Compared to 100, 90 for example. Other than Holy Light/Noble Sacrifice I mean. Is there a significant duration boost to Consecrate or EoO?

EoO provides a greater damage multiplier (82% iirc), and consecrate weapon gives 15% damage multiplier, totally 97%. So with 100% perfection and 120 chivalry, you hit 297% multiplier out of 300% possible, without a slayer on your weapon or talisman.
120 chiv also increases the chance of cleanse by fire to cure deadly poison.

Ok thank you. Am I right in thinking that if you have no Bushido/perfection, Super Slayer and 120 Chivalry EoO/Consecrate you achieve the same result?

    That is correct, yes.
GM chivalry gives you 64% from EoO and 5% from consecrate weapon. So at GM chivalry you would be lacking 31% to max your damage multiplier.

So chiv not important for survivability but for damage yes?
another one. Bushido make parrying most powerful... maybe. shield also reduce damage incoming?

This is the main/only question you need to figure out: How do you want to heal yourself?

Bandages? This is the most basic approach, relies on Dex 140 for fastest bandage self time of 4s.
+Not reliant on hitting to heal
    +Can cross heal/cure/res others fast
+Cheapest and most easy to use
    -Slow
    -Interruptible
-Bandages can be looted/run out mid fight

Leeching? This is the mid level approach, relies on either Necromancy for Wraith Form with Curse Weapon (requires Necro and SS), or Vamp Form (requires only Necro), or Hit Life Leech on weapons.
    +Fast
+Synergy with damage output (the harder/faster you hit the more you heal)
    +Heals through Poison/Bleed/Mortal
    +No consumable
    -Reliant on hitting to heal
-Some monsters have anti life leech abilities
    -Can't cross heal
-If using Hit Life Leech from weapons you are losing a property for this purpose on every weapon.

Regens/Images? This is a mid-high level approach, relies on Ninjitsu.
    +No consumables
+Huge damage mitigation (Mirror Images cause the monster to lose target when trying to hit you 90% of the time at 120 Ninjitsu
+Low skill investment compared to traditional Sampires (Bushido+Parry)
+Not reliant on hitting to heal
+Not reliant on casting to heal
    +Regens through Poison/Bleed/Mortal
-Lower damage output due to being in Animal Form prevents casting of Chivalry spells/special moves
-Mobility reduced due to being on foot

Spells? This is a high level approach, requiring Chivalry or Mysticism.
+/- Either fast but interruptible with FC/FCR and no Protection, or slower and uninterruptible with Protection
+Not reliant on hitting to heal
-Reliant on Mana, not being frozen/parralysed to heal
-Easily blocked by many effects spell interruption/Poison/Mortal/Parra/lack of mana (If using Mysticism in Stone Form you are immune to most of these effects)

The answer to this determines what skills/stats/equipment are important and which are not. Although they can be combined to an extent you need to decide the core method for your character. For example an ordinary sampire relies on leeching but will have Chivalry as well, primarily to boost damage.

Personally I think you are somewhere between Bandages and Leeching, probably closer to Bandages, this is based on experience, knowledge and available equipment.

    I would suggest:
    120 Weapon
90 Tactics (this is the minimum needed for both weapon specials)
    100 Healing
    100 Anatomy
    120 Parrying
    120 Resist
    70 Chivalry

This is strong, solid, simple and defensive, you won't get Parrad or Mana drained or die to Blood Oath (although most of us play without it we still die to the occasional bit of stupid timing/bad luck because of it), you will Parry melee hits and special moves and get all the benefits of shield properties (get one with Reactive Parra for more defense), you have enough Chivalry for Enemy Of One, Divine Fury and Consecrate weapon, Dispel Evil for getting rid of Revenants summoned by Necros (Halloween is coming up and there are Necro casting monsters in it). You can cross heal, cure and res without redlining yourself. If you wanted more damage you could change Healing and Anatomy to 85 and boost Tactics to 120, or Chivalry higher. You should play something like this until you know more about the game in general as most of the other templates involve specialised gear that is easy to get if you have a ton of gold, your own crafter or both. With this setup most of your defense is passive, meaning you don't need to worry about your damage output, hitting the enemies, being frozen, casting, mana pool. All you need to remember is to bandage yourself (or your guildies) and cast the occasional Chivalry spell. You will need 140+ Dex to be at your best bandage wise, but with 120 Resist on your template this shouldn't be hard to maintain, as you aren't reliant on mana and will have high Dex anyway you should go with Swords or Macing for higher base damage weapons. Swords has more variety and the only 1 handed Whirlwind Weapon in the game.
