2007 PvP publish?

    Can anyone remember the publish number and roughly when this was released?

    I mean the publish that added the tactics requirement to special moves, capped HPI, EP, etc.

    Thanks for any help!

    Per UO Guide, Publish 46.

    Damn. 27 Publishes ago.

    For further reference, irrelevant to this post (sorry original poster), the power scrolls publish was 16.

    I didn't log in because of that patch for a long time. I was rather upset because that tactics nerf messed up my entire pvp poison archer template. I actually haven't pvp'ed much since.

    that pub messed up alot of templates Specially for pvp, I think they need to get rid of the tactics requirement and leave it as weapon skill only, also remove the toggle special weapon move while casting.

    and UO would be amazing as it would open up alot of templates again.

    some of the best pvpers I ever played with quit around this time. That patch really hurt pvp I loved when you could have disarm toggled and cast forever then all of a sudden pop a weapon out of a guys hand and go holy **** I have wrestling! lol. Oh well things change, it did make a lot of people mad tho.

    It's really quite funny how supported this Publish was until it happened, then everyone turned on it.

    There were things that had to be fixed, for example I remember nervestrike when it hit you you couldn't trap box out of it or anything, you were stuck. And then the hiyru's would dismount like 90% of the time. Then I remember deathstrike archers and guys dismounting while in wolf form, hopping off the pet dismounting then hopping back on, etc etc. The problem was the guys who played the weapon mages. I played a wrestle scribe mage at the time, I was a noobie and couldn't afford the Hom and such, so I wasn't effected too badly by the changes. My evader was never the same however.. Point is if you really loved a certain style of mage, example necro mage fencer, then it was very hard to go back to something less powerful. Didn't need med or tactics and it opened up a whole lot of options for differnt temps, if you had the gear.

    If you think about it, they really could remove the 70-90 tactics requirement for special moves, it would bring sooo many more templates back.

    same with allowing casters to toggle special moves while casting or holding spells.

    the main things that were too good back in them days, are people with Deathstrike hitting for 54-60 (with only ninjitsu), it now requires Hiding & Stealth for it to hit that hard anymore. *still wont bring back my ninja-mage w/mage wep bow :(*

    Evasion spam, there is a cooldown on evasion now so mages won't be immortal til disarmed anymore.

    Tank/bokuto mage's of all types will come back, you can now trap-box out of nerve strike, so bokuto mages wouldn't be as OP as they once were but still good because of the damage output.

    it was just more fun when there was more of a variety to choose from.

    I too know alot of people who quit shortly after this publish hit, it ruined most of peoples pvp chars. (including some of mine, but I've adapted)
