6 mod weapon

    Haven't seen anyone post re a 6 mod weapon yet. Just picked a 6 mod battle axe

    I recieved a 300% one yesterday. SC no neg UBWS and other mods... still did not unravel worth anything.

    Ive gotten several rings, one weapon, and one leather gorget. All sucked, all unraveled to enchanted essence.

    you probably wont be able to imbue that. you cant imbue something with 6 mods, so the ssi and other things cant be raised

    I would love to see one of these weapons add up to more than 450 total. i suspect the coding is such that this event cannot occur.

    Probably due to the same bug that lets named exceptional items get 70% DI.
    (and what's the point of having DI on a dagger anyway?)

    Problem with unraveling 6 mod items is that the unraveling code is total bull****. The more mods, the worse the results it seems :/. That's why it seems like so few arties ever give relics, even when they have something nuts like 600-700 intensity.

    I really don't understand how unraveling is supposed to work though. I've gotten relics from 302 and up now. I'm about to throw away my results and hand-calculate, because I'm beginning to think that EC script is borked. But most likely, it's just the unraveling system itself that's borked.

    This is pure speculation, but from what I remember of talk about Luck affecting loot and the way the RNG rolls for item properties... (I know luck doesn't affect Tchest loot, it's just where I remember the discussion from).

    As far as I know, the RNG does a roll for the item type, then a roll for the number of properties, then a roll for each property to get the intensity.

    The 450 intensity limit is only for Imbuing, there's no real reason why a piece of loot from a chest couldn't be 600 intensity.

    Of course. At the moment no it bloomin' well wouldn't, it'd be a ring with:

    Luck 1
    cold resist 1
    damage inc 1
    lower regs 1
    hci 1
    dci 1

    And it'd unravel to a baked turd like everything else I've gotten out of a map, but hey, it's kinda exciting. I'm banking on my Str 8, Dex 8, Chiv 15, HCI 15, DCI 15, DI25 bracelet for my Sammy... It will happen, I just need to do a few more maps...

    To complicate matters, one T-Map chest gave me a 2/4/3/3/3 leather armor piece -- in other words, a T-Map gave me a complete 0 mod item. Mind you it was probably a LVL 1 or LVL 2, but still. I didn't notice it until game said I couldn't unravel it, haha.

    I would say I average 1 item per level 6 chest that will not unravel. Makes you laugh but I guess that is the way the dice roll.

    The item problably had different elemental damage so it did get magic rolls but just not unravelable.

    Am I missing something here? 6 mod weapons? Easy. You can make one with an Agapite Hammer.

    Now here's a 7 mod weapon. Luck isn't that useful, but this is 7 mods - OK. 8 if you include Lower Requirements.

    T-Map loot has rare chance for 6 mod items. First time in history of UO normal loot can spawn w/ 6.

    The leather armor piece probably got 'Mage Armor' as a property, which was dropped instead of rerolling.
    This issue was fixed years ago for runic-crafted leather armor, but apparently it's still affecting monster/chest loot.
     
  25. I grabbed this from a LVL 6 chest this morning. It's not a 6 mod weapon, but I am wondering if the 6th mod combined with another one. Not precisely the mods I'd like to have on the axe, but at least it shows decent loot is possible now.

    Will this unravel to a Relic?

    Two things.

    1.) Wtf is up with unravelling? Did something change? I looted 8 items last night from chaining spawns that were all 5 mods near max intensity but all of them unraveled to essence (at queen's forge).

    2.) I think 6 mod weapons should be added to the loot table of all of the hardest bosses. When I say hardest bosses I mean peerless bosses, champ spawn bosses, etc. Not like Miasma or anything. Definitely give Tmaps a higher chance and better intensities though. Imbuing really did ruin the fun of PvM for me. Like last night after I killed a champ I was just looking through the loot for relic frag items and I found a brace with 13 hci, 13 dci, fc 1, 19 DI. Before, that would have been a pretty sweet bracelet, now its garbage. I'd love to be able to dig through PvM loot and always have the possibility of finding an item that is better than something I can just imbue.

    As the MOD implies, it *should* unravel to a relic ... but hard to promise such a thing, lol. It's definitely ball-park though.
