There is so much potential with the new lands to explore.

Lake Austin's community has seemingly died down to a halt - there is little interest in exploration, combined with a low concentration of active people that want to cooperate with each other.

I'd also like to say, although our EM did a fabulous job brainstorming a way to hand out cloaks of silence in Felucca it was ultimately a failure because nobody wanted to participate in the event as it was intended. It became a one-guild vs. all ordeal.

The true focus in community revival on Lake Austin needs to take place in Trammel. Over the next few months my personal emphasis is going to be toward promoting more friendship, unity and community participation on this shard. I will be working diligently toward finding ways to make this happen and I will not give up. Ultimately, I feel we can all do better as a community in promoting and hosting the events than our EM has.

I am going to be pushing this along by hosting regular events down the line - Trammel/Malas/Ilshenar/Stygian Abyss crawls - contests - tournaments and other activities welcoming all to participate. My goal is to have a revolutionary community of "interest" on Lake Austin better than it ever was, with or without the playerbase that we once had.

We are also working on some establishments just outside of the Tel Mur Royal City as we approach the time that they'll open the new moongate. The extent of these establishments I am not quite sure yet. I really want to pass along the encouragement for players to start promoting new establishments and for players to start hosting some public events also.

I would love to hear feedback on the type of things that people would like to see happen. I know with the right strides the LA community can become one which players will want to transfer over to just to play and become involved.

    Regards,

    Pan Arcane

  3. I think the crawls would be fun. Doesn't matter where, as far as I am concerned. I know a lot of people want to do the new content, but I think reviving the older places would be great too. Getting folks to do champ spawns might be fun, I personally have never done one (I am kind of a chicken about those) and it might get folks into the team spirit.

I think the idea of some tournaments is great, as well as the infamous "run naked through the abyss or underworld and see how far you get". Fishing tournaments always seem to go over well.

I play during the day mostly, but if I had a reason to log in in the evening, I could do it. Now if I can just get my hubby to come back...

    Thanks for the reply.

I think an evening of Ilshenar spawning with implemented random lucritive rewards is a good one. Fishing - who can catch the biggest "big fish" in an hour or something like that - hehe. All good ideas for the agenda.

I have some other ideas to help push things along. It is going to take a little bit of time ahead to get organized.

LA's in-game community will prosper again - mark my words!

Sounds good to me. Now if I can secure your house in Ter Mur, then my life would be complete... ;)

Update ** I killed enough raptors to get 10K in loyalty so, if you look to your right across the road in Ter Mur, my new house! :) YAY

I am all for Ter Mur to become a community hot spot for LA!

I'm all for your endeavor as well. A few of us were able to coordinate a weekly Wednesday night shard event in the not too distant past <I think before your return tho>. Basara also suggested getting a compassion virtue system going to work that virtue. I don't think that really got off the ground due to personal things going on in rl. The weekly Wed events faltered also when rl seemed to get in the way for those organizing it. While old stuff should be mixed in occasionally, it seems that the focus should be on new content for a bit. I for one have been spending 99% of my post-SA time trying to work imbue. I have not made the opportunity to visit the new areas other than the soulforge. Except for those who have not upgraded to SA, it might be hard to pull ppl away from SA. Of course, I have two accounts that have not been upgraded and perhaps many ppl have not upgraded. In short, good idea, and count me in.
