This is kind of from another thread but it was revolving around factions.. A lot of people dislike going red, I love being red but I do not go red for a reason.. Sometimes I will go red by accident from killing off so many ass-hats who are in the game.. Every time people that go red who want to turn blue just sit as ghosts at the moongate leaving the game on 24/7 (game does not idle you out if your journal is active.) This is a really, really, tedious and boring way to burn off counts, and is not the punishment that players need.. In another thread, I suggested a alignment score that ranges from a positive 100 to a negative 100.. Whenever you kill blue players your alignment score goes down and whenever you kill a red player, your alignment score goes up, a positive alignment score means you are blue, this means you can kill blue players while still being blue if you have a strong alignment, but you would still flag and a lot of players would attack you on sight.... Players should have to actively go out and kill other criminals in order to turn blue, good deeds should get you there.. Not waiting it out, it makes no sense, and the idea of this alignment score is much more realistic in my opinion.. The ranging of the alignment score is just an example, maybe negative 10 and a positive 10 should be the highest and lowest it can go, cause if you had one of 100, means you could kill 100 people without going red.. I think this would be a good racial aignment.. Maybe Humans and Elves could be allies and enemies to Gargoyles (Fel Only) in the new expansion.. Note that these ideas are meant to make the game more hardcore but keep griefing toned down more as well..
