I'd like to take the time to say thanks very much to the DEV team for bringing back ToT.

    Thanks.

I know I've complained some but I REALLY like the new colors I just wish they had more charges.

But thanks for turning the ToT back on... It's always been one of my favorite events.

    *goes back to hunting*

    ...

    Absolutely!

I'm happy to see it back, but I'm also glad that it's NOT a permanent system. I like it a LOT better as an occasional temporary event because it gets everyone excited when it does come back and keeps the rewards fresh (especially changing out the dyes).

I'd love to see more such temporary/rotating systems in the game (Cleanup, ToT, even rats in the sewers and controller towers for those who remember those).

Temporary systems suck. They're even more dominated by scripters than regular systems will be.

And yeah it's nice to have back, though I wish the artifacts were listed better on uo.com. As in like, actually correct. (looking at you Wind's Edge)

More visual scripters does not mean Dominated, I have never been beaten by an afk char...of course those same scripters would be scripting the same thing, even if tot was not on...they just have a little something extra now with it on =\. Oh well back to what I was doing.

They can be in that area for 23 hours a day, unattended. And most likely multiple areas at the same time. So yes, I'd say scripters do have a good advantage.

If you're going to "grade" an event by the presence or abscence of scritors or exploiters, I'm afraid that you'll never find an event that is to your liking.

Best advice I can give is to play the event for yourself and not really worry about everyone else. You'll get more done, have less stress and enjoy it much more.

I think the problem of such an event is that it's all about me me me.

If they could find a way to reduce the the amount of minor arties and rotate the colour of the dyes so that they don't over-flood the market, I think turning it on permanently can only be a better experience for everyone whose play time is limited.

I don't want to spend 2-5 mil in a few month's time on a piece of equipment that I can get now. But the dilemma I face is that I'm almost forced to find time around my real life schedule if I want to achieve this. I have already missed the first 2 ToT's, the past few Halloween events, the invasion and the slime event due to real life, so I'm glad that ToT3 is here, but I really wish they could make it more casual player friendly, i.e. instead of saying, "ok, June-July, camp Tokuno whenever I get to turn my computer on", perhaps make it so that every time you venture into the lands of Tokuno there's a small small small chance (1/500 from a Succubus or something like that) that you could be rewarded?

Anyway, if they put in more of these time limited events, I'd rather they made it so that the goal is for everyone to work towards something common, instead of a brag-fest of who gets to collect more turn-ins. An idea is the inter-shard competitions similar to those that were held over at the Japanese shards. Might need to break the North American shards down to different tiers based on population though. Otherwise, thanks but no thanks, no more temp events like this please. Just leave everything to the EM's.

Just something totally unrelated... My conspiracy theory is that ToT3 is put in place to make people open up those closed accounts, go on a farming frenzy, and when SA hits, bam, everyone's too addicted to quit. But then that's just me.
