ABC archer suit.

    Which arties should I use, and what mods should I be going for on the non-artifact pieces? I'm thinking M&S glasses, RBC and Primer/Trinket are a given. Other than that I have no idea.
     
  2. Stormgrip for the gloves and of course you'll want a Crimson Cincture and a Conjurer's Garb robe for the extra MR. Other than that, you want MR, MI, and SI on crafted armor pieces. Dex and Int bonuses along with HCI and DI. With my setup I've got 95% DI between my jewels, gloves, and trinket, so I don't need to have any on my bows. This gives me an extra mod slot on the bows which just kicks ass. I also use a 5 SSI turquoise ring for a little more ooomph.

    I'm gonna have to see what I can do with imbuing and enhancing then, on the sleeves, legs and gorget. Max MR, MI and SI then 2 of each resist close to max, with one at 10 or higher from the GM arms lore bonus? Is enhancing still next to impossible?

    Here is the suit that I made Lorax and recently have tested, but I have a couple different rings and bracelets that I have been switching. I still have to finish imbuing the ecru ring, but here is the stuff.

    HCI 45 (with 11 on weapon)
    dex 150

    DI 50 (40 on weapon plus swap jewelry as needed for more DI)
    Enhanced potion 50 (EP is 0 if I swap jewelry)

    I have another suit with 70 DCI and fey leggings added that is a little older, but it has less stamina.

    I was going to put 10 energy on the legs or arms, but decided for MR.

  5. Are you PvP'ing with your archer Lorax? Why all the DCI? If PvM only DCI isn't needed.

    Hey Conner, I want to get back into pvp and did a couple nights last week. I took a break a couple years ago when 420 and my wife/friends left the game, I relocated in RL, and I came back now. Mostly I collect resources for imbuing right now, but Lorax's suit is for pvp with jewelery switches for pvm. I have tons of enchanted essence, but can't keep residue, relics, gems, and essences in stock so there is a force to pvm.

    I didn't answer the question about the DCI. PVM and pvp use DCI since divine fury gives -20 DCI you need at least 65 base DCI to counter the negative effect. That suit is only 55 and really should be higher to get the DI and SSI from the DF, but I decided if I can get 180 stamina then the DF SSI is less important and maybe I will just start using refresh pots. My problem is in pvm my bows are usually slayers and no balance and I spam DF all the time. Lots of pvm creatures blast my stamina like the Hyru. I never had a chance to use the EC for pvp to see if Hit Lower Defence and DF stack negatively.

  9. Thing is, the whole trick to playing a PvM archer is NOT to get hit. The only damage you should be taking for the most part is from spellcasters. Kite your target till their dead is the general rule of thumb. I spam DF for the extra SSI but rarely get hit by monsters unless it's got paragon speed. For PvP, yeah, you need the DCI, but PvM you shouldn't need it at all.

    I took Connor's suit (especially jewels), but chose different gloves. My armor looks like this:

    Artifacts - Mace and Shield Reading Glasses, Conjurer's Trinket, Rune Beetle Carapace, Cloak of Death, Quiver of Infinity, and Crimson Cincture

    Runic/Imbued Items - Runic legs, neck, arms, and gloves to bring me to 40 lower mana cost, 180 stamina, 8 mana regeneration, and 125 hit points.

    Imbued Ring
    8 dexterity
    15 hit chance increase
    8 lower mana cost
    25 damage increase
    6 poison resist

    Imbued Bracelet
    7 dexterity
    15 hit chance increase
    8 lower mana cost
    25 damage increase
    8 poison resist
     
  11. I'd thought about swapping out for runic gloves, but I like not having to have DI on my bows. Having 5 mods available kicks ass.
