Account management problems

    Hi all

    I just tried to login to my UO account and I got the following message:

    You account cannot login for one of the following reason:
    1]Your account is not linked to ea account
    a]http://www.uoherald.com/node/453
    2]Your game time or billing info has expired or is invalid
    a]Please login to the account center https://accounts.eamythic.com b]login tutorial How do I link my accounts? | Mythic Entertainment | Ultima Online
    3]Your account has been terminated due to a terms of service violation. please review this FAQ:
    a] Information about Banned or Suspended Ultima Online Accounts

    I've recieved an email saying the credit card on file was declined .. its the same damn card that I've used right from the start, the only card I have available.

    I've been into the account management and chosen my billing option, got to the confirmation page then I get

    Error
    There was an error processing your request

    Return to the homepage.


    Does anyone have any ideas of how I can fix this please?

    I have had the same problem, twice now. Same card I have used for years. First time I was able to get help using the live chat function on EA support. I have no idea what they did but the one I was chatting with knew what was going on so it`s recurring. Think it might have something to do with european cards.

    It just happened again for me, and I am in the process of yet again contacting EA support to get some assistance. This time around I got a silly email apologizing for the inconvience, giving me a code I could use on their site, and asking me to call an US number to get help. Not applicable.

    All my accounts are due for payment next week.

    I added a paypal account but I can`t see the option to use that as payment anywhere. That would fix it for sure.

    I deleted the card on file and added it again. Then it would work.

    I had the same problem just a week ago (euro player as well).
    I simply bought gametime (using the declined credit card btw) and saved 40% that way.
    Good for me, not good for the game :)

    Another friend of mine was having this problem and Serafi's solution worked for him as well..

    He's not in the US either.. Is it just me or does it seem that cross-country trading with credit cards and such is being pipelined so it can be scrutinized more closely?
    As a person that codes I can see how making you redo billing info would make it much easier to start tracking you.

    Just my opinion mind you...

    And if your card simply wont work you're not alone, many of us have to buy GTC's now with the new account system, even though we're using the same cards used for a decade.

    Had the same happen to me on 5 accounts that I pay using the same card that I've been using since before and after the billing fiasco last year.

    I called my card company and they confirmed that EA hadn't even bothered to request payment, that the rejection was not from Visa or my card company but internal to EA.

    In the end I did what Arkanos did.

    I'm in the US as and it happened to me as well. Just seems random.

    Thanks for the info all.

    I used the online support, talk to a game advisor on 13th.

    They told me to check with the card company because they may have a hold on the account - they said they didn't, and there had been no request for payment from EA.
    I don't have an option in my account management to delete the card, the only options I have at the payment options screen is to use the saved card (I can't view any details of it) or add a new card.

    So I contacted online support again and told them.

    They said due to the sensitive nature of my request I had to phone the support team in the US - I told them I'm in the UK and couldn't do that, so they gave me a UK number, 0870 2432435.

    I phoned the UK number and they told me they couldn't help with Mythic accounts, all the info was in the US and I would have to get in touch with online support again and get them to sort it.

    Went back to online support - they told me my issue had been escalated to a higher level of support, but I would have to be patient for them to get back to me .. that was on the 14th and I'm still waiting.

    Odin, have you emailed Mesanna? I know you shouldn't have to do that, I know EAMythic should have contacted you long before now.

    Please let me know if you need to store anything safely on Europa - I have a nearly empty keep where I can co-own you.

    On Siege I just have bank box, but I can make space for you if you need it.

    You do have the option - just not where you would expect it to be. After clicking on subscribe or renew account or any of those options, you get to the page where you can choose billing cycle. Whether you want it to be monthly etc. After you click confirm the next page comes up where you can choose which card you want to use. On that same page there is a button on the top right named : Account management. There you can add or delete cards, or view the card info on file.

    To delete credit card information from your EA Account, you have to first get to the screen where you select your payment method and subscription length. Once you're on that screen, make sure you've picked one of the credit card options and click the Continue button. On the next screen, which is for credit card information, you should see an option to let you delete credit card information. (You may have to select the Manage Accounts button at the top of the screen to see the delete card info option.)

    having same problems with one of my accounts----so i went to account mng-to do all the changes-well im at a page where it wants me to put in a code or key on the first line then a security code on the second line------the second one i get---just type in those funny case sensitive words and letters,,but the first one where it just says code---where/what is my code or key or how do i get it?

    got mine working by re entering cc---------was just a little lost because i didnt have to deal with it during the big mess of this recently,but thanks for the info it worked

    Does the fact that various of us European players have been hit with this problem, all of us on long-used CC's that survived the last Account Management fiasco, starting after the last Account Management Maintenance on the 9th February, suggest they got something wrong?

    Just to confirm my suspicions, my 6th account has just had the "credit card declined" message and, just like the others, my credit card company confirms that EA haven't even tried to take the payment.

    Same here!
    on saturday 18th I got the email and yup, my cc had been declined.. but only by EA, as my credit card company told me no charge had been atempted. 3 cards later I still get the "problem processing your request" answer
    Havecalled them to no avail, have sent the email complain and through EA and now I just start to question my devotion to such a headache source!

    Happened to me, too. Card declined for no identifiable reason. I simply deleted the card info and re-entered it again. It was immediately accepted and straight away I was able to log into the account.

    As I've mentioned in the stickied thread, if it happens to my other two open accounts (also perma-subscribed on the same card), rather than go to the trouble of work arounds, I'll simply view it as an opportunity to save on monthly fees.
