Accounts Closed?!

    Ok, as the Customer Service # has a Long dist number and a 30+ min wait, and
    [email protected] and other "customer service" e-mails bounce what is going on?!

    I have 2 UO account that I have had for almost 9/10 years and now I can not log in and they say they have no subscription?!

    great houses going to fall and 10 years of items going to be on the ground kinda stinks.....

    the thing I am wondering about was my Very Very Old Seer accounts that seem to have LOST their Permanent Paid for Status.... that was given to us back then with NO warning
    .

    You know, all those old seer accounts that were sold on E-Bay. Seerers are no longer in UO so pay for your account like everyone else.

    What exactly is the problem where you cannot log in?

    I had a log in problem after I had made all the correct and necessary steps to do for the account migration. My status showed active in the new account management window. But... I could not log in.

    It turns out that during the process of linking my UO account to the EA/ Mythic/ Bioware one, they changed my account name - ever so slightly. To anyone who may be experiencing something similar... make sure you compare your account name in the drop down box that has been shown in so many screen shots. Compare this to your actual account name on the UO log-in screen. The change was so subtle it wasn't noticed until AFTER I had already been on the phone with Customer Service for about 30 minutes (the change being a few capital letters to all lower case). Even the CSR thought it was odd that the account name was changed.

    You know, I had a hell of a time trying to log in and "merge" my accounts. After my daughter and I worked on it from both ends, she had the answer. The older accounts (not sure about the newer accounts) had to use the name like this.... myaccount_uo.com where as myaccount would have been the username. That worked for the magratios. That got me off of a screaming status threatning to quit because I also had a couple of accounts that said they were closeing. But when the updated info was put in.. all was fine and dandy.

    Lordy I hate changes. It gets folks too whacked out. I'm working over 13 years of changes. And it gets quite scarey these days when we can't find where to fix boo boo's.:fight:

    Man, I'm sorry to hear about your Seer account. What I would do is directly contact Messana or Cal to have the issue sorted out. Those accounts were given as a thank-you for all your work, and should stay that way.

    Edit: Also it's odd because I didn't have trouble with it...

    yeah i hear you my old seer account is now inaccessable, the email long ago lost in time, cannot be linked to the other accounts... so i guess my museum once thought safe with all of 20-30 billion in rares/seer items and event items is going to go poof and there team of ******** monkeys cant seem to get off there butts to do anything about it.if it goes, then screw ea and uo ill close all 53 of my accounts permenently.the one damn house i thought was safe....

    53 accounts? You need professional help.

    Thats $600/month at least. What do you do with 300+ characters per shard?

    I could come up with 100 or more things I'd enjoy spending $600/month on instead of UO.

    have a friend who just had the same problem, old seer account, hasn't paid for it since they ended that program almost 10 years ago. With the account migration the account was shutdown, had to pay to get logged into it.... its a shame they give you a perk for the work you did and then take it away without notice.

    What is wrong with someone having 53 accounts if they can pay for them? Maybe he is a millionaire and his hobby is playing UO instead of buying 100 cars.

    Ummm Are you sure you have been playing UO long enough to have been a SEER? I have an account that just turned 10yrs and when that account was created I thought SEERs were no longer being used by UO. By the way my oldest account just turned 160 mo. (13.333yrs) so I have been around long enough to remember SEERs.

    11. Consideration: In consideration for your time volunteered as a Counselor, your player account will be free of any monthly subscriptions fees charged by OSI to its customers for access to the Game.

Ownership of the Account: Because your account will have access to the special Counselor abilities and commands, you agree that during your involvement in the Counselor program, you will not sell or transfer your game account, nor allow any 3rd Party access to your Counselor character in any manner without the prior written consent of OSI.

    13. Termination by OSI: Your affiliation with the Counselor program can be terminated at any time by OSI, for any or no reason and at its sole discretion.

    14. Termination by Counselor: If you decide you don't want to be a Counselor any more, for whatever reason, you can terminate your affiliation as a Counselor at any time with no hard feelings on our part. We do ask that you don't leave us in a lurch and give us at least one weeks' warning, so that we have the opportunity to fill your shifts without having to scramble at the last minute to do so.

    So are you trying to tell us that SEERs had a different contract with UO?

    #13 is the catch all just like with any account. EA has the right to stop it anytime they want. Consider yourself luck to have played for free this long.

    Rofl, now they send me an message saying one of my accounts have NO BILLING INFORMATION ON FILE.

    That is utterly bullcrap, I have had this account for about 10 years, how will there be no billing information.

    Moreover, I dont know how I could see my account status now?

    Because the page seems changed to something else where you cannot even log in?

    Oh my god... LOL
