[IMG] I hope you don't really leave.

Kelmo warned you that things would get hot. He should know.
It would have been better to shut that thread down a few pages back, when the accusations started flying. That would cool peoples tempers a bit.

Sometimes the board wars here are funny, but today they were just lame.

  4. nah there are a lot of issues right now

tired of trying to balance it all. My work is more time intensive right now and will be for the forseeable future, add to that the old wife getting jealous of the computer... and just not having fun since my brother quit a few months ago. I still have a third Mo hanging around...but I want guns specifically looking to get a new pistol for IPSC and a one for IDPA

Lemme guess. What did you let puffy "try on" *winks*

  6. nah, any time somethingnew comes around the corner youhave to look at how yoru responding .. and I am mature and old enough to look at it and say I just don't have the time nor the energy to run a guild or deal with the drama of the boards... so when my accounts are gone I will of course be bowing out of the stratics Mod position.

quote from mo page 2 i think:
"I know taht I will pay toplay until the day they turn the servers off on siege, this has been a unique game that no other has recreated... no other game (even some of the player run shards has what siege has) and I will be here until the end of days and you will see me in my orc mask always running around"

Thanks Krystal I'll see how things pan out. At the moment I don't have one vendor, I have 5 of them.

I'll not go rushing into deciding what to do about them for a while, won't matter if they come down for a few days, or weeks really.

    Hey Mo

Wouldn't stopping modding and not run a guild take some of the pressure off? Just play the game with no strings attached for a while before you really leave, no?

I hope you find some more fun in UO.

    Kind regards

Might be worth considering cutting back some of the extras first - selling your accounts is a pretty final step. Sure you can buy more if you change your mind, but it's never the same.

Don't let anyone give you grief over your choice of guild, any guild, it's not worth it to let those kind of people get under your skin. Give the modding a break perhaps but Siege needs you! [IMG]

Mo last time you wanted to quit being a mod because people picked on you for being JSV. Now it's over KOC? Your not going to be able to make everyone happy bro. Play your own game, be your own man. Don't let these people get to you. Any guild you join anywhere you go there will be conflict and [censored] talking. You just got to do what you believe is right and go on with yourself.
Then what everyone says to you won't matter. Because deep down you'll know you did the right thing.

Quit the responsiblity of the modding and the guild leadership and just come play with us... And Don't worry, Be happy and screw everything else about this game and people.. Don't have to put in much time playing except to find excitement and laughts... and then get off and do the more important things you listed..

Mo, I don't know you, or know what happened, but please take some time to think about things.

Being a Mod here takes A LOT, so if nothing else, consider dropping that and just playing.

If it's a matter of realizing that "RL" just needs you, then best wishes!!

Mo, I hate to see you do anything you'll regret, plain and simple.

    HOWEVER....

I personally encourage you to drop UO and never look back. I've spent almost 9 years in this damn game and I look back on it and can't believe I spent so much time doing this when I could have been doing any number of things, including spending more time with my family, going back to school (which I'm finally doing full-time now), learning a new skill .1 at a time in the real world, or just kicking back on the couch with da breedur remembering why you practiced so much to have babies in the first place.. *winks*

In short, I fully support you stepping away from UO. I have done the same myself and have decided to re-open the accounts one more time to consolidate and liquidate. I will probably keep one account to hold important things just in case EA makes a loud *POP* sound by removing their collective heads from their asses, but I won't wait around forever...

In any case, it was awesome to know you and Ghaz these past few years. I hope he is doing well and life is treating you both right. Hopefully we will meet up again in Darkfall or something where you two can be TRUE Orcs.

Until then, you do what you know is right, regardless of who will miss you or what anyone else says. Frustration and stress should not be the result of a diversion that is intended to be entertaining, especially if it puts any kind of strain on the wife and/or children.

    Take care my friend...

This is the biggest reason why I took down ^S^

I just don't have the time... I have been... for a long time now been a casual player. Sometimes you'll see me for days in and out for a few weeks... sometimes you wont see me at all for a few months.

Life comes first man... but my number 1 rule (and same rule for everyone close to me) is never sell your main account. Pack up the things, and deactivate is what you want rather than spending the 10-12 bucks a month on this game... (Hell, you know... I spent that much on lunch today at arby's? its really NBD) and to top it off... you won't ever regret making that decision.

You might regret any other decision... but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Just my ONE account honestly is worth between 3 and 5 grand... if you count the stuff on it and how unique they are and what they sell for individually.

No one would pay that of course... and I'd never sell it... even during a time, that people would have paid that, and actually tried to.

There's sooo many people we could have in this game who would add to our world with only a weekend here and there or a few weeks of fun every now and then. But ya know... for some people this addiction needs to be all or nothing... and I guess I can accept that even if I don't understand it.

So to sum up everything I said for the verbally impatient:

Don't sell off... take a break.

    Trust me.

aww man . sorry to hear you got so agrivated ... you HAVE been very helpfull and id hate to see you go . your decissions are your own to make of course , but id highly reccomend you keep your accounts , at least your main account . you never know , you might want it later.
seriously maybe you should try just cutting back and playing casual for a while .just drop whatever is ticking you off. im sure there are many who would miss you.

and besides if a day comes when i quit i will not be selling my accounts .

I do not know what to say really. I do feel a great loss to this shard if ya do leave for good.

I wish you would at least keep your Mo'gluk's yours, sell off ye things or homes keeps whatever if ye must, but ...........no one can play Mo'gluk but it's true real owner whom is YOU,..nor should they even attempt to *be you/your orc* and the "personality" behind those chrs.

A name change would just seem to make it worse, if one is to fade off into the sunset and never return, their character should remain with them..just my opinion for these are our/your creations. Our chrs., we alone gave them a life and a place in a pixel world ...no one can pull off nor *be* that orc, but ye.

If you are intent to leave, take Mo'gluk orclord warboss with you, give him a fine orc exit ceremony, that only you could give him best, for his grand exit.......he Mo'gluk, surely deserves that much. [IMG]

The decisions are yours alone, I think I would rather ya keep your characters as your own, sell off stuff if ye must or if ya feel that ye have to leave, but keep your chrs yours, or just take a nice calm break instead of leaving for good.

  36. Whatever you end up doing Mo, I had fun playing with you.
Anytime I think of Orcs, I think Mo'Gluk!
    Good Luck man.

He's leaving because RL needs him more. I too hate to see him go. He was my first gm on siege and i'll never forget ol smelly.

Tjalle (and everyone else stating the same thing) is right. During the years I've played UO I've grown tired of it many, many times. I have repeatedly let all my houses with all my stuff in them fall (to the IDOC-hunters delight) just to come back a few months later to several characters with only a few gold coins and dust in their bankboxes. At those times I'm really happy that I at least still have my characters left.
It takes a lot of time and patience to rebuild what once was.

Please think this over. Spend some more time with your wife and take care of your family. Work on your novel and everything else you have going on in your life, but dont sell your stuff. At least not for a while. There's no rush. I would be very sad to see such a big and important asset to this community get into the hands of someone who isn't the real Mo.

    Follow your heart.
    Lots of love!

(BTW, dont let anyone put you down. Your desicions are yours to make.)
