Now I know this would more than likely be an unpopular idea and even if it wasn't it likely wouldn't ever be implemented. Although, after reading about how pets lose (or used too. I dunno the current status) stats and skills upon rezzing. It got me thinking about the very early days of UO. Days before stat and skill locks, days when adept skills were sufficient to actively play and even pvp. Those days in my mind were insanely fun, not just because the game was new at the time but because having a precisely 7xgm char or 120 in each skill wasn't on everyone's mind. That being said, I kinda think a shard similar to siege w/ no insurance but with recall, and other aspects of normal shards except this shard would have a small stat/skill loss upon death. Now I do believe that the loss in skills should only go so far, such as no matter how many deaths you wouldn't drop below adept. Nonetheless though, I see this as bringing some real excitement back into the game. I suppose it should only have certain lands, or slightly weaker forms of some of the more powerful monsters, but since I don't see it ever becoming a addition I guess the details don't matter all that much. I just remember those days when we were all far less skilled, we were forced to band together to accomplish events such as hunts in even the dungeons not considered all that tough. Idk, it's late. Just an idea!!! What does everyone think? Oh and I suppose items with insane skill boost would have to be done away with also. regardless, I see it as something that wouldn't take to much coding to do. Like I said though, I'm sure I'm the minority in believing this could be lots of fun!
