The ancient hell hounds should pay a visit to Luna. I hear it's lovely this time of year.
Where are the Ancient Hell Hounds? I haven't seen any on Legends , but then again I might not be looking in the right place.
I haven't seen any either. I saw someone post a screen shot of some in Despise, but it's just not the same.
I think they're a great addition to the game. If you're getting lured on, report it, not delete monsters from the game. I also think their loot should be up'd.
how could turning 20 or 30 hell hounds into ancient hell hounds during the 3rd level of a rat spawn a GOOD ADDITION TO THE GAME???
what purpose other then luring on the people doing the champ could they have?

Luring is an acceptable playstyle in Felucca.
It's one spawn out of many. If you can only finish a Baracoon then your just not a very good group of players, sorry. There are others with the same scrolls and better rewards that are just as easy.
I'd say these hounds are just a good way to seperate the weak from the winners
on chessy someone turned roughly 30 hell hounds into ancients yesterday morning/ early afternoon down in despise.
i dont know why anyone would consider that a good thing. As a member of the reigning pvp guild on that shard it made no difference to me. We didnt have to check despise to see if someone was trying to sneak off a spawn and our guild rarely chains there so far as we were concerned was one less spawn to check.
i did have a question to the herders there though, can ancients be herded???
Only stuff that can be tamed can be herded. It is a good skill for when factions use to try and tame stuff to block sigils but that seems to have died out.
Turn them off. It doesn't really affect me because I only like to do imps/oaks, but all it does it allow people who can't compete to greif.
Lastnight I heard there was going to be a harry on ATL, so i jumped on a newb naked char in hopes of watching some action.
The COM faction was using the ancient hell hounds as a defense. I'd say there was anywhere from 50-80 ancient hell hounds in hythloth.
honestly, there was no way the people attempting to raid could survive. If they managed to make it past the hounds they were pounded by defenders. if they tried to fall back and regroup they insta died to a ton of ugly dogs. I did take one screenshot of an area. i was just going to show it to my guild members on Legends for a laugh, but since there is a thread about it...why not here.
Oh, and I agree with the OP.....it's time to get rid of them, and never bring them back.
I disagree with RL 100%, we raided and took a harry (probably that harry) in hyloth from heat on atl. Hell hounds were everywhere (i assume heat made them). We made a push and dropped heat. The hell hounds were annoying, but really you can deal with them, we did. I do admit that the hell hounds proved to be bad for the other people who tried to push us later. However, if they didn't run so much (and played a mage template) it wouldn't have been a problem for them either.
Hell hounds are great. It pushes people out of despise and into other areas to spawn... I think that is great. Baracoon should be a harder spawn and thanks to EA it can be now.
Hell hounds are just a tactic now. Not much different than a harbringer (although there are only so many harbringers, but they can be made anywhere).
Please keep helhounds in play. I don't use them, but I like options in the game. I think it is great!
Those were not our hellhounds, we took the harry from HEAT. I have no idea if they popped the harry or if they had taken it, but the hell hounds were there before we got there.
yeah, might have been heat. i dunno, when i got there to watch i saw COM defending, and heat being slaughtered by nick, and nate+the hounds.
I still think they need to go. No, i don't think they need to go because I spawn, because I don't spawn. IMO they are useless and just in the way.
As I said before, just bump the price per treat up by 30k and knock out two birds with one stone.
I really really like that idea, however... there are so many treats in the game now it is a little too late.
Make them a mil a piece.. really put the sting into using, but still allowing them to be used.
I like to lure in Tram though :'(
