Anyone know how to make the CC 'New Targeting System' work?

    I've gone through the list of commands available and all I get are Bip noises from my computer when I hit the command for the macro to 'target next' or 'select next'. What is the trick to get it to step through the possible targets(PvM)?

    The beep means there is something wrong with the key stroke you have assigned it to. Most likely you have that same key configured in UOA and did not check the "pass to UO" box.

    Check UOA to verify, or try using a different key that is not mapped to any UOA setting.

    Btw, you might want to enable the new targetting system under options. It is much more verstile, see my reply to you in the other thread.

    Has something changed recently?

    New Targeting has been in for years.

    It's just a really unimaginative name that tended toward ironic as time passed, like Kingdom Reborn or Enhanced Client.

    SelectNearest, Hostile, (best for PvM)
    AttackSelectedTarget


    Asing it to a key and it will select the nearest hostile target and start attacking it if its within your weapon range.

    Example of my whirlwind macro:

    +PrimaryAbility
    +SelectNearest Mobile
    +AttackSelectedTarget


    You can also replace "SelectNearest Mobile" with "SelectNearest Hostile" if you want, but I find that for a mob to qualify as a "hostile", it needs to have aggro on you first. Doesn't suit me.

    Now, of course, "SelectNearest Mobile" have it's own drawback when there are blues/guildmates/pets/minions/animates around.

    Hence, I was asking for the targeting system to be enhanced, preferably something that will allow checkboxes for me to customize what to include/exclude.
