I'm an aspiring novelist, I'm also a veteran siege player who seemes to have forgotten his old account pw. So, this seemed close to home. This is severely off topic from the norm I'm aware but as I write for a freeshard and for my own amusements I was wondering does anyone else here take time away from gaming, and just write? maybe old fashion even with a fountain pen on some lined paper?

I entertain periods of text RP with some friends, if that counts.

From time to time. But I hate writing on paper.

As an aspiring novelist, I can only offer that ye
be sure, ye can be BRIEF, concise, and to the point ! lol

You see [whenever I write], even on a game forum,
my thoughts could go the mega lengths:
of War and Peace or Grapes of Wrath. LOL

Then everyone would need one of those black and yellow
*summations* booklets, that they read instead,
to try to con their teachers into thinking, that they [actually read, the entire book].

    Just sayin'
Some folks can not fathom, nor tolerate, anything longer, than brief letters for communicating nowadays,
as their form of *reading* 'sentances' hath deteriorated to the simplistic, or tis all they can grasp at a time,
abbrevs. only like [OMG/ LOL/] and simplistic lame stuff, like that. :)

With stuff like KINDLEs and what not, it all makes me wonder
if books will ever be *printed* again on paper.

    *oh wait*
if you are too wordy, you could gain gainful employment
writing creative health, govt. bills, etc. in Congress, House, Senate,
Parliaments, or for Insurance companies globewide, policies which are 2k, 4k, 6k + pages long
that even our politicians, health care providers, customers etc. can/do not read fully,
    let alone fathom,

or you can write, creative wordy re-election 'fantasy novels' of
glowing 'I am better to elect or re elect' *speechifying speeches* for politicians !

Perhaps your first novel can be a comedy, of our times,
with a smattering of real writing novel skillz, coupled with poking fun of us, all, nowadays:
    And ye can title it...

    OMG I rote a NVL :)

It would probably become a best seller !

    Good luck to ya.
