Just a few concerns/thoughts from a returning player...

1, I'm on the Europa shard and even at peak times i struggle to get more than 3-4 people for an Arcane spellweaving circle - I often ask in general chat for people to go hunting with/champs, but the very few that are there either are hunting alone or afk. (i am in one of the largest guilds in Europa, but again, few online) not sure what the answer is, maybe change shards? I want to play a MMO not a single player game o_O

2, More choice = Less choice? Paradoxically it seems that as a fighter you have to have a combination of Bushido, Chivalry, Necromancy to be effective - making virtually all the fighter the same with no individuality (This is good for your gameplay, but seems takes away from the diversity of the world). Maybe give a bonus for a pure paladin 120 or pure 120 necro to add some diversity to the cookie cutter templates?

3, Exploration - variety :sad3: Despise was/is fun but after you have done that, done champs/peerlesses/renowns it seems the same old same old. I'd like to go out and take part in a constantly ongoing event (the invasion was awesome for this) so you could feel you were taking part in something big, something that would affect the world. Sadly, as it is now, seems log on, go peerless or champ, finish and repeat.et al ... Only so many arties/pscrolls you need (i sell a lot but after a point, nothing needed to buy with gold).
Maybe have random spawns that appear throughout the land, spawns that give great loot and move around- would give good reason to go away from Luna and explore the wonderful lands of UO, as it is now, Ilish has some amaxing dungeon locations but full of boring spawn giving little/no reason ever to go there.

    Just a few thoughts...

#1... Agree. Something should be done with arcane circle. It wasn't a very good design in the first place making arcanists after training up and devoting points to the skill, then jump through this daily hoop to make most of the spells worthwhile. It never built any community among arcanists as originally intended, and over time with a declining population it just gets harder and harder (or impossible, especially if you play at odd hours, or only have 20.1-99.9 skill) to get that level 6 focus.

    #2... Agree.

#3... Will remain neutral on. Myself, I never run out of things to do in UO, but I know there are others who do say they do run out of things to do.

    1. I play on GL's and often there are devoted Weavers for a Circle... however at times I've had to wait up to 40 min or so and sadly I have 2 120 weavers I add to the circle myself... I've actually been toying with the idea of making me 4 more weavers so I can be my own Circle..... how pathetic is that. Course I'd probably only work them up to GM but still.... it's sad.

    2. I am forever perplexed on what to do with many of my characters. Right now I have a thrower all torn apart because between suit and skill I can't figure out where I was going with her... she seems to suck no matter how I configure her... But I myself think one thing would help if they added more spells/specials to everything. Including Magery which many spells and skills are in need of a revamp if you ask me. I'd like to see more things added to Chivy at one point someone suggested that at GM or better you should get to ride a Silver Steed.... I rather liked the idea of a Chivy specific mount. Sounded cool to me.

    3. As for things to do... Well... I belong to an RP community... so we always have things to do. We use our imaginations and we invent them. There are Taverns to run or attend... wars to begin or finish... Battles to have, folk to rescue... always some meeting to attend about the state of the community and such... and when we aren't busy with any of that there are towns to build, governments to keep going or just plain playing of UO to do... Be it going on a Doom run or gathering supplies, or even going out killing a few pirates. I've never run out of characters to build either... I suppose running out of things to do is running out of goals you have set for yourself. Perhaps you might enjoy trying out a new shard and building up from scratch there.

on the weaver issue just drop weaving and get 5 other randoms for an unskilled and you get your lvl 6 then stick it back on. Soulstones are 10 and plenty now, plus the timer has been removed you can do the circle and say bank at the same time to use the stone from your bank box
