I now am almost convinced that going factions is going to be an absolute must in the game of UO
Can anyone suggest a good factions template ??

they're not the enhanced bandies from the fountain, they're a new faction item.

I predict the fall of the necro mage and the rise of the mysticism mage, considering mysticism is augmented by eval int and necro keeps taking hits. With bandage and An apple, you can prob'ly remove curses like every 6 seconds if you stagger them.
Remove curse had this taken care of already. Not sure how much silver these bandies are gonna run, but I dont know how much they'll be used if its over 50 silver each.
Necro mages will never fall because of champion spawning and of things like whither.
You will see the rise of other types of mages tho... =)
The day factions is a must will be the day I leave. Guess I should pack my bags.
I think that's why now its more important than ever before to come together and fix monster hunting.
You will never match Sir Daniel's Enhanced Bandage monopolist might.
Don't even bother, with imbuing on the horizon everyone will be able to make their very own *custom* Artifact!

So why wouldn't it make sense that monster hunters get shown some love too.

Personally, I think it's awesome, sorta.
Monster Hunters will be obsolete. You'll most likely be able to craft an orni, so why hunt monsters for it?
The only monster hunting I see going on will be champ spawns and who-ever drops the new reagents for Mysticism, and gems/ingredients for imbuing.
There's going to be no point to hunt monsters because why hope you'll get lucky and get that item when it can be crafted?
Edit: Perhaps I'm wrong, but I just don't see people hunting monsters for ph4t l3wt5 after this goes in unless the drop rate is increased TREMENDOUSLY.
The trouble is to-fold. First, this is Siege, EA has forever made changes without considering how it will effect Siege. And second, this is Siege, there is no way that everyone will come together.

I wouldn't like to say how it will turn out, but you do still need good magic items in order to 'unravel' them in order to gain special ingredients (not the same as other ingredients) needed for embuing items.
And Leurocian said at the Town Hall and on the SA site that monster loot should still be superior to anything you can craft: "With rare exceptions, imbued items will not be as powerful as loot dropped artifacts, but will be powerful enough to allow a skilled player to overcome the difference."
agrred with the need for magic weps to unimbue..what I am wondering is what does this do to the current BOD/runic system?
I like your enthusiasm and hope for some positive changes that will make the game more enjoyable and fun to play
However, every time I see "wonderful new armor and weapons for all changes" it seems to lead to more inbalances.
My guild isn't made up of pvpers though there are many of us that enjoy that aspect of the game away from Luna. Basically by some of these changes to faction items you are forcing those who enjoy a different playstyle to either commit to Factions in order to just be competitive or else completely AVOID any form of conflict.
There is a little bit of irony to this discussion.
Guildmates of mine already run uber gear that is pretty much on-par with what we're being given.
And those of you who don't / can't run the same gear are telling me you're not sure that it would be a good idea if we gave monster hunters the ability to get you semi-equivalent gear.
