Auction time is almost up on all the stalls. I just went around and checked each one.

To be fair to the Devs, the upgrade codes weren't available for purchase until today.

Give it another week or two.

Don't you think it's waaaaaaaaay too soon to be placing judgment when the codes were for sale only today? It's not like every single player on Origin who were going to buy it got it today. Luna didn't suddenly turn into a massive player market the very day the expansion went live now. Give it some time, we players have lives, lol.

Some people were posting that they were successful in purchasing codes. You would think at least one person would want a bazaar stall?

And they publish to Origin before the other shards so the publish can be tested. I don't think it's getting tested much.

Test center was for testing. Origin is just there to make sure the publish is stable for a production shard. And yeah, players have bought codes, but not everyone who bought them already plays Origin. Again though, be patient and give it time. Us players have lives.

All these nifty features only work with a broad active player base. Without active players, the best game features are mostly useless.

  8. Origin is a smaller shard, we all know that... the majority of the player base logs in on weekends and sometimes for events, most ppl wont test it, if they buy it at all, until this coming weekend since we just got the codes today....

the Broker system probably wont get nearly as much use on Origin as it will on places like Atl, GL, LS, etc... so I would wait for it to go live everywhere else before you form an opinion.

Can those players who did NOT purchase any of the Theme Packs have any access to the Bazaar and Pets vendors ?

That is, will the usability of these vendors be severely limited by the amount of sales of these theme Packs ?

And if not purchasing the Theme Packs has no impact on using the new vendors (i.e. Packs buyers and NOT buyers will be able to use the vendors just alike....), what is the point of buying the new Theme Packs should a player be only interested in the new vendors and not in the new tiles that come with the Packs ??

Part of that will be the belief, fostered on these boards, that 'only the rich need apply'. I think that's totally wrong. The rich don't want to sell commodities, they want to sell rares and artifacts, something the bazaar is not intended to do.
Once people realise they have every chance of getting a stall for just 1000gp they'll start to move I think.
I'm not able to buy just yet, but when I do I intend to attempt to set up a pet vendor selling non-tamer mounts. ie, blue beetle, fire beetle, swamp dragon, rideable llama, ostard - maybe ridgeback.

I imagine that only people who have the pack may bid on, and set up, the stalls but anyone can buy from them.

Is there anything in their design that prohibits that (to be used to sell rares and artifacts...) ?

If there is not, they WILL end up being used to sell expensive goods, IMHO.......

Even moreso, since they can be hired only on a weekly basis. This means, for most players who only have sometime during the weekend to play UO, to basically being able to use the Bazaar vendors only a few hours per week.

Who wants to have the hassle to put up the Bazaar vendors' inventory for resources and similar items, which means low profit items but high number of items (LOT of more work than just putting up a few expensive items....) during their few hours weekend play time only to then have to take all of the inventory off by the following weekend if they loose their bidding for the following week ?

Spending a good chunk of one's own playing time to just put up and take off a vendor's inventory, for many players might not be the best time to spend their in game time......

Instead, if the Bazaar vendors will end up being used for expensive, few items, it will take only a few minutes to put up 4, 5 highly priced items that bring in lots of profit and take them off fastly, should one loose the bid for the following week.....

As I said, UNLESS there is something in their design which prohibits the sale of expensive items (like a CAP on the max price tag each individual item can have....), I see these Bazaar vendors ending up being used for few, expensive items rather than for many, low cost items........

I see you didn't read any of the test info that's been posted on these, or the page I made about how they work.

You can not sell items on them, only commodities, ie items that can be stacked.
For your further enlightenment I'll link you to the page I made.
