I'm finally getting around to upgrading my warrior, my very first character, the Petra Fyde who's name I took to use on message boards.
Adding bushido to her swords/chiv/parry/tactic/anat/healing - stoned resist.

What does the bestial suit actually do? Is it worth getting one? What do you imbue onto it? What other pieces do you add to it to make a full suit?

The bestial suit affects damage once your character is at lower health. Basically what it does is it sizably reduces the amount of damage that is either taken or healed to a very extreme amount when you have taken hits. For your temp I do not think it would be all that useful a suit because the best way to heal in a suit like this is HPR which your going to find a bit tricky to use with bushido. If you had gone with Ninja I would be saying that this would be a good purchase. As to what you should put on the suit things are pretty standard. Its key to get LMC on it. You can imbue 8 on each piece. Your also going to have to make sure that you get the resists on the suit up to 70. This is going to cost you mods somewhere. Jewels should be standard 15 DCI and HCI as your not going to be able to get any from the head, neck, chest, legs, arms, and gloves spots as all those spots are taken. You will still have the sash, apron, robe and tali to add in artifacts. I recommend that you have your stamina to have a bit of room and still stay at 1.25 weapon speed. Its good to be able to have your mana at at least 55. Your hit points are somewhat less critical while using this suit but strength does still determine your damage. It would be a bit tricky I think to make a good bushido pvm suit using this as once your really taking hits your not going to really be able to counter the damage unless you can get away. It might be something you want to mess around with on test to see if you can pull it all off. Now if you go the ninja route then this is a good pick up. The suit is still the same but your strength will matter less.

Thanks. I think, on balance, I'll not bother getting the suit.

I've probably done it all wrong, but she's now wearing:
    Spirit of the totem
    Enchanted Kelp Leggings
    Bronze armor of the valkyrie
Barbed, studded, imbued gorget, sleeves, gloves. MR2 LMC8
    Rangers cloak of Augmentation
    Cloak of Life

Two of the more under rated pieces of armor in the game.

That char is on Europa :)
The poor dear is sadly hampered by the fact that her 'driver' is hopeless at math and not a particularly adept player.

I would be more then willing to take a look at your suit. I have a spreadsheet and sadly am good at math. I suspect Lynk would too. I do think you can get yourself a better suit then that to be honest. Not sure about the kelp woven leggings as I normally use that more on mages. The bronzed armor isn't a bad piece at all though. Your barbed gear can probably be made better with imbuing. We also have to get you more dex. Dex is life on a temp like this. I always try and get 150 dex at least. I am willing to lag my way over to Europa to help sort away the math if you want. Sadly I live on chesy and have no resources on Europa or I would be happy to make the suit myself.

On Europa, I will be happy to help with any imbuing requirements - I have a reasonable stock of materials and the obligatory 120 Imbuing Gargoyle with access to Queens Forge...

A point worth noting about the Bestial suit - being non-exceptional, it only has 450 imbuing points available but it comes with one resist effectively maxed out. That's worth 100 points so the suit pieces are really the equivalent of 550 imbuing points. You can actually make a pretty decent suit based on the Bestial. I wouldnt like to run it pvm much tho.

PM me if I can be of any help with ibuing or design

    Cheers

    2 items with 38 res
    2 items with 48 res

Normal items have 47-53 res depending on material. I don't see any extra res on bestial suit. Can it be enchanted?

I imbued some resists onto the crafted pieces as well as the LMC and MR.

Startle: Sadly, while I can pride myself on a pretty decent working knowledge of the game, when it comes to actually playing it I'm not very good. My mind goes blank when it should be going into 'pull all the stops out, you're in trouble here'. :D
One reason that I'm a totally hopeless pvper - aside from the fact that I don't actually like fighting other folk.

No joy on enhancing - but the 4 Bestial pieces can be inbued with a further 5 properties up to a maximum of 450 imbuing points. Does that open up some possibilities that ppl might have overlooked?

No not that we have overlooked. Enhancing is a nice little boost at the end that can really help you out. If you’re running the right temp a bestial suit is great. Petra isn't really running one of those temps so the decrease in imbuing points and the fact that it can't be enhanced make it a strong detriment.

Agreed - it isn't an appropriate starting point for that template.

Hmmm...I edited my last post to explain in a little more detail what I was getting at...but it looks like I failed to post it properly..pfft.

    No matter...since you haven't overlooked anything, I won't bore you unneccessarily..;p
