On traveling around the lands this morning… I happened upon a scene of bloodshed in the new player capital of New Haven. A Blackrock Golem from Maginica island somehow was “moved” out of it's spawn area.

Innocent players grieve killed… a few defenders try and stop the super monster with slow results.

In trying to help those who had been murdered by either an exploiter or the staffer that relocated this monster, I was surprised by the fact the guards wouldn’t come when called… so extremely convenient. Then, even more to my surprise EM Bennu appeared with a small handful of healers. Dispite the fact that was a clearly odd happening, Bennu is quoted as saying he preferred to allow the monster to continue it's rampage due to the fact it was nearly dead… or he would move it. Then, after the monster did fall… Bennu left.

As exploiters work… if they get away with something one time… they will get away with it time and time and time again. I set off in search for another possible rogue Blackrock Golem just wondering around and could find nothing. By the time I got back to the city… a new Blackrock Golem was seeing a whole different reception.

Now, I honestly don’t know what was going on here. I know our Event Moderators may be in the dark about things. I honestly believe what Bennu was telling us about the first monster. It could have very well been some kind of accidental spawn. Exploiters do something once, they always do it again. Bennu should have stuck around. We sure don’t need new players harassed like this.

And also… even in thinking this could have been a staff placed “surprised”… why is it never Luna bank? Why is it that everyone has to be driven off from every other bank so they end up in Luna? It's very odd. If they want a body count… that is where they should set loose a super monster… inside a super monster area. hehe

Though I unfortunately was not there for the best part, didn't the mysterious bag left at Luna bank not too long ago explode?

Well... I don't think you really missed anything. While paging for a GM only to be blown off... 2 more of these Blackrock Golems were brought into town. I'm not sure who... but clearly a player is involved. They lead them from the coast, where I think they are boating them over. I searched again and again, no sign of this being an accident and it will keep going on into the staff gets involved.

I dont like exploiters who get an unfair advantage over the rest by cheating.

But , if the guy really got them on a boat , had them cross over to the isle, somehow disabled the guards and lured them from the coast to haven bank ?

Well i say kudos lol. Thats just funny.

It's just the only way I can explain what is going on… how else would you explain a monster island-hopping? The guards, easily being disabled for the stupid bane invasion, could very easily include New Haven. Bennu claimed the first one was “bugged”, yet… to me, bugged means it's not taking damage. I could have easily seen this as some kind of accident if I didn’t see the 2nd… then the 3rd walked right into the town… then the 4th walked in from the other side.

    You explain it then. :bored:

Dunno...I thought i heard about BR golems being in haven some weeks ago...Maybe they were planned..Maybe they wanted to teach banksitters a lesson :p.

Can just imagine the poor guy that logs in to Uo for the very first time as a ghost! lol!

The code probably was written so that the golems weren't guard whacked.
I could be wrong, but I doubt whoever brought them to haven managed to figure out how to disable guards.

Everything else, I have no answer to other then it was a mistake that someone non dev team found and used. Since this is the first day someones noticed it, I'll hope when the patch hits us it'll be solved. (Which should be soon)

*Edit: This post probably would have been better placed on UHall where the devs and other staff would more likely read it.

I doubt they were planned... The golems that were in Haven before were there due to some sort of spawning issue. I guess the range of the area they set for the golems to spawn in was too large and ended up including a small part of Haven.

They said they fixed it, but I'm willing to bet that perhaps something may have affected the spawning range on the golems. Although I'm not sure what...
