I'm just curious what kinds of templates are out there for people for Meleer's (Warriors) who put Spellweaving in their template. There seem to be a LOT of useful spell for a Warrior in Spellweaving - HoT, Damage Absorption, Immolate Weapon, etc.

Given limited funds for Skill scrolls, I was thinking something along the lines of..

    100 Spellweaving
    100 Meditation
    100 Tactics
100 Swordsmanship (Or insert melee weapon skill)
    100 Anatomy
    100 Healing
    100 Parry

I don't know if I should drop Healing for Chivalry or Bushido, or just drop it and attempt to go 120 on other skills.

Anyone have any input on a template like this?

    PvP or PvM??

Im guessing PvM as your taking weavin so high(oh bear in mind you can tame some nice "pets" with dryad alure), If so i would consider dropping tactics to whatever whirlwind is, for bushido, as well as i dunno, maybe med and make sure you have a high ML weap.

If you can max your damage output and leech your mana you can cast and perform specials(although not at same time :p) and just leech your mana back.

Actually, it's for both. At least 1 member in my guild uses Spellweaving in this fashion, and it's pretty good. I have not had the opportunity to pick his brain about his template and what not, though.

Speaking of leeching, I'm wondering if Necromancy would be a good alternative.. Insted of Healing/Anat, take Necro/SS. Extra healing, more leaching, some more utility.. Although it's tough to be EoO and Close Wounds..

No need for SS unless you want to go into wraith...

In PVP the "majority" wont take it much above 40, this is because the majority of usefull PvP spells are at 38 casting skill or below...in fact all (natures fury, attunement, gift of renewal, summon fey, thunderstorm, summon imp, gift of life) apart from that i think the only other usefull spell PvP is essence of wind (i believe around 60 casting) past that its all pvm...Reaper form...massive Fire resist drop and slower than a crawl! WOD very low damage for pvp and wildfire...maybe could have uses.

Well thank you for discussing this topic with me!

Regarding SS: Doesn't SS affect the damage/leaching/Duration of Necro abilities? Also, It'll be a nice healing supplement.

Regarding Spellweaving: I'm thinking of the high skill to ensure I don't fail very often. If it's a main part of my template, seems silly to risk failure to me.

As to how I plan to use them all together, at least so far in terms of PvM (Can't recalls ome names now, sorry):

    Go into Vamp Form.
    Curse Weapon.
    Spellweaving HOT
    Spellweaving Shield
Weapon Abilities, SS as needed to assist healing.

I don't intend to use spells for the purposes of direct damage, but rather to augment my melee abilities and to heal.

I used to roll with Spellweaving on one of my dexers. I wore a 100% RPD suit. Attunement blocks damage dealt to you, but it still reflects back 100% of the physical damage which is really nice. I'd get a level 5 circle and attack them, they'd hurt themselves pretty bad from the reflect. I'd run up with a bardiche and para/dismount. I'd just chase them like normal until I could mount then I would get out a fork for disarm. I'd summon 4 pixies and chase them down. Pretty lame, but it works 9/10 times.
