Blessed deeds what will you use them on ?
It would have to be something expensive as hell. Berserker breastplate when I get one, maybe tinker leggings. Most stuff would just be a waste to bless. Would have to die a LOT for insurance to equal the price of the deed.
in anther thread I had seen nocturnal earrings and boots
before seeing this I couldn't think of anything that would be worth it but the earrings is a good idea other than that im not to sure..., beings how everything seems to become worthless over time. I am sure there's other things I'm not thinking of.?
I am considering buying or turning in bods for valorite hammers, trying to make perfect pieces and then blessing those. That or sell them.
I plan on blessing my pair of dragon bone earrings.
Note: Dont waste a bless deed on the boots, a clothing bless deed would be far cheaper.
umm Nothing, I would just lock it down on the floor with
pretty pointless now they have increaed/doubled the price...THEY SHOULD HAVE HALVED IT IF ANYTHING!!!! u can die 10,000,000 times on insurance alone.....plain silly to even try and bless 10 piece set..WITH 10 Bless deeds....crazy.....LOL
I was kidding when I said that .....
Im gonna bless all my runes Who needs runebooks when you can bless your runes
Nothing I hope!
My underpants... Nobody wants to see an Elf pantless....
I plan on getting a bunch of them and securing them in a chest in my keep that way 5 or 10 years from now they will be rares again and worth 500 mill each. lol
AT that time 500m is what you start with when making a new char
The problem is I have 2M points in the blue crystals alone. I am planing on getting a male and female set of the old sets. 60K per set = 300K. Maybe 1 or 2 sets of the luck ring/braclete = 300K. 1 set of the virtures = 90K. Not really sure about the new sets. So, so far I have 690K used and with the selections what else is there to use all my points on? It really isnt about death to cost question, it is more about what do I spend all my points on. To let you know I have a castle with stuff in it for the turn in. Total count on items is over 4000 and I really dont care how many points I get for it all. I have way to much extra stuff from 13yrs of X-Sharding and the more old stuff that is throwen away the more my old items that I am keeping will be worth.
So if lets say you had 4-5M points (that cost you nothing really) what would you spend them on. I look at is this way, the bless deeds or anything else on the list is not costing me anything and blessing my maxed out Luck suit may save me a lot if the dreaded insurance bug ever hit me while wearing it. 9 bless deeds = 900K points = 90M gold, now what would a maxed out luck suit cost you in gold and time to replace? Understand that the 140 luck robe no longer spawns and are getting very hard to find.
just want to make sure you know you can use a clothing bless deed on this robe. don't want you to waste an item bless deed.
I plan to use mine on my Royal Spy Utility Knife.
Other than that ..... I'd say anything that isn't imbued (As that would be a total waste)... that isn't covered by a clothing bless deed... that is something that I certainly couldn't replace easily... and won't break.
Maybe an orny.... kinda expensive to replace. Other than that I'll probably get a few to save just in case I get other items like the Utility Knife that I want to keep with me but never lose.
Already used one on it. But some of the other pieces you can not use CBDs on. Neck, Arms, Chest, Legs, Neck, Ring, Bracelet and Weapon or Weapon/Shield. CBDs Hat, Shoes and Robe. That still leaves 8-9 items that are hard to replace and very expensive.
So what are you spending your 3-4M points on?
Pendant of magi
Mace & Shields
Wizards reading glasses
flutes of renewal
Any item thats not imbued can be fortified an is good will get hit with a bless by me. cost vs value umm since i am trashing a heap of trash to get the bless its not worth the 10 000 000 some other posted to me its like why not they are to be used! and if i can fully bless my main 2 or 3 characters ill be happy
Any that I get I'm going to use on rares I already possess (that aren't blessed) and if I manage to get enough points for extras, I'm gonna save them for any future rares
I'd use them on items like jackal's collar, primer tali, ring of the vile etc. The stuff I haven't had the need to change in years. Nothing imbued though, because I can just make another when it breaks for good.
I'll probably bless some artifacts but also nice items like my perfect 15 HCI/DCI FC1 shield.
-Helm of vengeance
- a nice hci-dci-rpd-hpr wooden shield i have
- couple of runic armor pieces
My bards dread horn, and novo bleu jewelry from the last clean up
guessing these won't be re-deedable?
I'll get a dozen or 2, and leave them to the next owner of my acct
My boots I think. I always hate losing foot wear. Maybe a nice looking hat.
Maybe some random stuff... A ball of yarn. That would be interesting... How would you like to see that one day?
I'm going to get 100 of them and drop them on the ground in New Haven.
my 'big' mage suit, i have some of the 'old' bless deeds on allready.
totem of the void
bunch of the rest of the suit was covered by the CBD's
conj robe, lt sash, tangel, snake boots, hat'o magi
so that leaves my tunic, pants, arms which are imbued, so replaceable.
so then that just leaves my shield and weapon and pendant i guess.
Can you bless things that are already blessed?
Well I have been thinking on that one... awhile.
Seems some things change over the years so you need to choose wisely.
Armor? Weapon? Jewelry? Only time wil tell what gets blessed around UO.
On Siege... if we get them there is not much I can see using them on unlike the rest of the players do. But I doubt we will have them on the list.
I will keep a few for my use over the life of my characters... but for now its anyones guess what I will use one on.
You have a certain talisman I'd bet dollars to dragonturds you drop a bless on...
The post here pretty much assured me on my feelings about bless deeds I cant think of any items would want to use 1 on. I play the cc and I dont use 3rd party programs and after a rez I hate having to dig around in my backpack to put all my items back on, so I mostly just run to my corpse and click it and all but my BLESSED items pop back on me very aggravating indeed. I personally wish the would add a bless remover deed instead it would have more value to me than have more items to search for after a rez....
My Slither, my wooden shield that's 15/14 fc1 hpr2, and sword of shattered hopes.
I cant think of any items would would want to use 1 on.
Neither can I really... maybe about the only thing I can see using one on would be my Leuro's Mempo (which I don't use all that much to begin with), outside of that, most everything else is imbued anyway and covered with insurance if needed.
Playing in the EC, having the items blessed or insured isn't an issue, one button and it all gets re-equipped without delay.
I'm not 100% sure what all I actually want from the system, but a bless deed really hasn't been on my list since the original clean up event, and that desire was removed when AOS made old magic items obsolete.
Ya I wish they would add that macro to the cc auto redress (or what ever its called)
the cost at 50k points I felt was FAR to high now at 100k it just comical to me...
hey live and let live I guess. I just wish I could remove the blessed tag and ins those few items I have..
Ditto. I've never been nuts about using blessed stuff for exactly this reason either. I know UO Assist has a dress macro, but I stopped using UO Assist over a year ago. If I could run the EC, it also wouldn't be such a pain to deal with the blessed stuff after being rezzed and clicking the ole corpse, because the EC has an awesome dress macro, but I can't get that client to run on my laptop computer.
I won't be wasting any points anywhere on those deeds and would sure appreciate knowing if they're going to be made available on Siege. All it would take is one teeny tiny post to say aye or nay, but I guess no one on the team has the gumption to do that.
I have 3 char on siege (3 acc) and I feel it would be A HUGE MISTACK to allow those on siege in fact their shouldn't be any items none at all that are blessed sieges is not tram...
here comes the roast...
I'll stack them in containers like the things I used to get them. Who knows maybe one day we'll wake up and insurance will be gone.
Save them long enough and you will be able to turn them in for the next cleanup
Actually now that I got it, my gargoyle Wind of Corruption. What a pain in the ass to get, lol.
Probably the only thing worth blessing is rare event items. Especially wearables that cannot be blessed with a clothing bless deed. Anything else is just a waste.
I may not use them on anything, probably only going to get a couple anyway just to get them. Maybe something down the road will prove worthy for them, but until then they will sit in a chest.
Nothing, I'm going to sit on them and wait until they become rare and sell for bajillions of gold.
Nothing needs to be blessed.
maybe ill bless a cheese wheel just because
Ill be using them on my vendor
I heard they are turning off insurance.
If I actually get one I'll put it on my pendant of magi.
As to the comments here about the auto dress I remember that clicking your corpse meant you would auto dress in 2D but at some point that suddenly stopped and all you do now is open the corpse or pick up the non insured items. Not entirely sure why that stopped working.
...and then you accidentally double click and eat it?!
Someone mentioned using a bless dude on a flute of renewal. Not a bad idea, but I'd hate to lose track of charges and have it *poof*...
I'm gonna bless a pitcher of water to make it holy water and then use it to kill undead n sampires n succubi n such.
