Ill cya.... in about five mins i gotta pee and grab another beer.
yes, but how's the weather and do you have a woodpecker problem?
lol weather has been 70's and nope no bird issue i have flying ninja cats and a pellet gun. it has been rough though ... do i need more fire wood? or should i just light a candle to warm my house.
Is there a mud hole in your back yard?
All the melting snow is getting pretty ugly back there... but I keep reminding myself that soon..... very soon I could see green grass again. Though that will cause me to become more of a hermit than I am now as I'm highly allergic to grass. Sucks you know.... I love the birds, the trees... just can't deal with grass. Often considered how bad the neighbors would hate me if I just put down tarp and rocks all over my yard or maybe just planted lilies of the valley all over... and quit bothering with hiring someone to mow for me.
I also thought about hiring the city to just dump all of the left over sand from the winter into my yard and just have one big sand/litter box. Maybe plant some hen and chicks and such... I could go out and rake my sand everyday into interesting patterns...
i live 4 mins walk from a river... and my dirt is decomp granite.. so water and mud is never an issue hehe... grass i have a few patches which i made quick work of with the weed waker .. i enjoy desert in my yard..
my wife did plant bulbs though which im not allowed to till over... and add some color....arg.
I shot the local woodpecker for pecking a hole in 2 of my bee hives and eating my honey
There are alternatives to grass lawns (which I have no use for since I'm turning into a permaculture nut). Google "Geoff Lawton Urban Permaculture" or "Bill Mollison" or "Edible Yards" for starters. And if you don't mind a gardener who talks about God a lot, "Back to Eden Gardening" is also very good. Unless you have restrictive HOA rules in your neighborhood, some of the ideas might be worth exploring.
