    Nexon is retiring several existing mercenaries, according to an official announcement on Wednesday. The existing editions of Baron, Deckland, Hauser, Kamara, Mei, and Rocco will soon be titled “classics,” replaced by re-skined versions featuring slightly different statistics. Hana, Max, and Zadan will apparently remain unchanged.
    During this transition, Nexon is selling the “classic” mercenaries for permanent duration. Nexon has helpfully published the statistics of both the classic mercenaries and their newer counterparts, which offers valuable insights to potential buyers. Based on the information provided here:
    • Baron, Hauser, Kamara, and Rocco will receive speed buffs;
    • Deckland and Mei will receive speed nerfs.
    As a result, the classic versions of Deckland and Mei appear to be the best purchase options. However, while the classic versions of the remaining mercenaries may pale slightly compared to their newer counterparts, there is no guarantee that the newer editions will be offered for permanent duration. Accordingly, some buyers may still find value in purchasing a classic Baron, Hauser, Kamara, or Rocco. The complete announcement may be viewed here.
