Calculator

1. Is there a calculator out there somewhere that will give you the different percentages on suceeding/failing on enchanting bows like they have for smithing? Thanks.

2. I think the formula is....

[(( Fletching Skill * 1.4 ) + Fletching Rune ) * 0] + 1 = % of Success.

At least it seems like thats the formula most times [IMG]

You forgot to carry the decimal, it's + 0.1% at the end. 1% would be way too high [IMG]

4. I've noticed the exact opposite of the smart alecks. [IMG]

I've had awesome luck with enhancing. With Fletching, it seems more things survive the process than break. That's how I got all 3 of my super slayer heavies, 35 SSI Undead, 30 SSI Demon & 30 SSI Arachnid. 2 more and I've got a complete set. [IMG]

5. Thanks for the replys. I was looking for a calculator like the one used here : http://www.towerofroses.de/enhance.htm to see what the chances are I will destroy my bow based on what is currently on the bow now.

example : my current regular bow has ...

50% Hit Stamina Leech
46% Hit Fireball
15% Hit Chance
30% Swing Speed Increase
48% Damage Increase

What would be the success rate if I try and enhance with Ash wood for example?

6. With that many mods, the success rate would go down, but since Ash is a lower end of the woods, it kind of balances it out some. The thing you have to ask yourself is: Do I have another bow that can replace this one?

Yeah, I know it would be a tough one to do, and the answer is no I don't have anything close to replace it [IMG] ... the reason I was looking for a calculator ... to see if the odds were worth the risk.

If that was my bow then I would leave it until I had another that was the same or better, then I'd risk it. With no fall back you could be cursing yourself for months if you destroyed it!!

The chances go HUGELY down when you're trying to push the limits of a property an item already has.

It's pretty darned easy to slap 10 swing speed on a bow with none. With that one, you'd be trying to add 10 onto 30.. and things get dicey.

Same for adding anything. Add 40 luck to a piece with no luck.. easily done. Add luck to a piece that starts with 100? Crash, tinkle, smash.. gone.

Doesn't mean I wouldn't try it, IF, like other folks said.. you have another bow to replace it. If not, that is one damnfine bow. It will serve you well.
