can someone explain whats happening at the Invasions

    ive done a 1/2 hour spell twice seen two towers blow up and have absolute nothing to show for it?? nothing to loot and nothing in the pack..yes i was on a crappy mage both times which are kinda capped in the towns due to half the spells dont work....maybe ill try the tame next...still need someone to explain the basics....thought it was a solo thing /quest....like the first part 1.....oh WELL

    The bad guys spawn in groups, kill the captain's troups without getting hit by him cos he's yellow and you can't hit him back. Once you've gotten rid of his group he'll go red and you can kill him. Multiple groups spawn in the town with different captains, choose your target.
    I didn't get on too well with my tamer, but others have. I have done best using my warrior and jousting assassins and rogues. I avoid the warrior types. I suspect that a mage would do quite well against those. Some towns you can pull them far enough from the buildings that you can cast summons, but they will eventually bounce back. Challenge then is finding your target and getting him seperated without pulling a lot of other captains you don't want. Watch for the message that the beacon is vulnerable then go cast on that - be careful though because it will be surrounded by spawn. It doesn't go down in one attack, takes (I think) three attempts, with it going back 'invul' in between. Killing the beacon can also get you a minax drop.
    Luckily the artifact exchange mechanism is destined to stay in game after the invasions stop.
    So far I have 4 minax arties.

    My Garg thrower kills them easy and i have 18 minax arties. Garg throwers are too over powered

    In a nutshell: Kill the spawn, take down the lighthouse hope for Minax arty drop. Trade the drops in for better stuff at the NPC.

    I picked up 2 Arties in less then an hour last night, albeit one was from a dumb red attacking my tamer in the city

    1. Cryer tells where invasion is happening ( fel ones are good reason to go pick pumpkins. bad enough tram side I killed a dog that walked in the way of my bow) 2. Go to that city get out best slayer for invasion and note location of Lighthouse. Mark rune if magely. 3. Kill! Kill! Kill! If dexer get in a cross heal click and learn to move like your joined at the hip. Not only can a mage mark a rune, they also can invis when they bite off more then they can chew. Seems invis can only go off when near other players. 4. Keep one eyeball on journal for go get some hits in on the lighthouse message. Good time to add to the ignore list from Chat. A good question I don't have the answer for. Does the lighthouse spawn in same spot each time for that city? I've been part of three invasions so far. 0/1/3 arty drops on a classic pure paladin archer. The last one I did get the message about the lighthouse and got in four shots. Not sure if last arty drop was due to hits on the lighthouse or the fact I nearly soloed a rogue alone just before lighthouse was destroyed. The lighthouse needs more HP. More so if this event is going to run more then a month. Random effect needed when attacking the lighthouse is not ready to be damaged. Teleports attacker to random deep woods location with 5 minute block from any type of recalling. While Lighthouse can't be damaged a random timed and location hole opens in the ground teleporting all in that area effect. Make camping the lighthouse more interesting while the campers chat it up on Chat. Run! Run! Run! Wait better ideal. Everytime the Lighthouse is attacked when it can't be damaged has random chance to insite one it's spawn wave. That way those doing the work can help the campers feel they made an effort. Human Nature should be left out our fantasy worlds. With all this add in any player within view of the lighthouse does not receive Lighthouse message.
    Sorry all this is clumped together. Half the time I get an error message and nothing gets posted.

    Sorted now....easy when your showed whats happening.....great report!!!!.....alas kinda long winded and deffo not for a solo player....shame really because i enjoyed doing the first act on my own....oh well.....nevermind...will try with the groups i guess for a while....but deffo not on a borked mage

    Frarc, please don't stop writing your guides. Not only do I enjoy the style of writing, but the great information. Mages can help a lot in the invasions . Rowan is a 115 skill point Mage with average armour. She also has 120 spell weaving. Slayer spell books increase your damage. Flame strike works well. the captains are also poison weak.If you have spell weaving the pixels work well, though die easily. Mostly she cross heals ( mele-first, pets-second, any player that is low becomes first. Greater cure is a must for captains. Just doing that I earned 1 shield. Don't know if I'm turning it, kind of a cool reminder of the invasion.
