Champ Spawn corpse decay

    i dont do spawns much until now.
    and i noticed that corpses of monsters decay very very fast.
    sadly my template requires lots of items and crap so i use pouches which sucks cause...

    i get robed like hell. So my question is does the ******* that took me loot decay as fast as all the rest? i got looted all three of the bags i carry twice tonight. first time sucked up at least i got a replica. second time i got robbed the second i showed up and they guy vanished immediately after dying. so does this always happen?

    on a side note. maybe a client side hue for the monster that looted you would be nice touch.

    *mumbles* or expandable 3d style packs again

    The fast decaying is deliberate. Due to the large number of corpses in Champ Spawns, things work differently here. Having too many of them on the screen would increase lag immensely. That's why the monster corpses in Champ Spawns decay faster. You just have to know about that, especially when you're fighting monsters who loot stuff.

    monsters loot the heaviest item in your pack... which can happen more then once.

    try carrying a couple stacks of 3k gold so they loot the gold and not you...

    ...

    or don't die.

    oh well i knew the reason behind it, just thought it was silly for mosters wo had stolen items on them.

    the weight thing is neat. I always thought it was the most valuable and packs were stolen based on accumulated value of items inside.

    i'll see what i can do to avoid suck hell on earth

    eh, i carry 120 ish items at all times. and being mowed down by 4 - 5 lich lords really doesn't make ,one, item be lost. and having to get rezed and find each of them before their corpse decays at 90x regular speed sucks. anyhow my question on the timer remaining for monsters who loot has been answered. and thanks for the loot AI rule.
     
  7. There isn't any template in the game that requires that many items. I'd suggest you trim down what you're carrying if you don't want to lose any of it. Keep in mind that you can get looted by more than one creature, and if you're at a champ spawn with things that are going to loot, the stack of gold trick isn't going to help you any.
