I haven't looked or googled it or any of the sort because, well I just have a simple question that requires a yes or no answer and didn't want to read a whole list of patch notes to get it..

Are the governors of each city facet based or is there just governor of yew..and that's it 1 per city or each facet have their own..

Other than on Siege, the city stones are only in Trammel towns. So there will be no governors elected for towns in Felucca.

Also, there are only governors for cities/towns that you can gain loyalty for. So, for example, Tram Cove, will not have an election stone/Governor.

For Seige, Mesanna was wanting feedback from players on if they wished to have the Governor/Election system on their shard. They didn't implement it due to the possible greifing aspect, but depending on player feedback that is subject to change.

Blackthorn is only the King of Britannia in Trammel, and presumably any places in Malas that are considered Britannian colonies. (Some places there were referred to as such back during the pre-Casca, pre-Royal Council massacre days.)

The government of Felucca, until they get around to replacing Factions, is Factions.

In theory King Blackthorn has no hold there.

    So why a Royal Council?

I also must note that based upon things posted in these boards, and said in-game, the sympathy for role-playing in Felucca is very low, and that the Council primarily seems intended for role-playing purposes.

Though they will partly be elected BY towns in Fel, since the Fel towns invoved have trade ministers , so it looks perfectly possible to have a blue Fel resident elected if they make the trip to Trammel to register they are standing, and to elect someone by registering their votes if they get to the Trammel stone.

One potential problem is for those who become red after being elected (and so far I have not noticed anything that would prevent that happening), once red they can't actually get to the new Blackthorn's castle for the council meetings....

Perhaps they could set it up how Ilesh used to be (dont know if it still works). But you used to be able to visit Ilesh, once per month if you were red, however your char was "blue" just for that once monthly visit.

They ended that for an excellent reason: Basically no one was taking advantage of it. They had to maintain a separate rules set for little obvious gain or reason.

People who vehemently profess to hate Trammel sure spend a lot of their time trying to figure out ways to get there.

I think the forums needs to be like Facebook, if I ignore your posts, you shouldn't be able to see mine either. Even though you don't say "everyone in Fel" your posts insinuates that you are implying that all people in fel "vehemently profess to hate Trammel". Your comments are absurd to say the least. Further no one taking advantage of it is not an "excellent" reason to end it as it didn't require any "extra" work on the dev's part to maintain that rule system.

its no use cdavbar. that guy will hate on anything fel all the time. notice the initial question from my good buddy army. a very innocuous and harmless inquiry into the availability of fel governors. you don't even have to read galen's post to see what it will say.

amazing that the mod's let his constant trolling stand.

I think from how I understand the notes they would probably keep any that were already 'in play' at the time they went red, but as a citizen you only sign up for the current trade deal for 24 hours at a stretch, so when the current one you have expires you need to be able to access the town stone to sign up to it again for the next 24 hour stint - which of course, if the stones are only in Trammel, won't be possible for a red..

Red characters will be able to get to the city stones in Fel towns on Siege (they were added there last week) and the Trammel towns on Mugen. But I wonder if they'll be able to actually elect to take advantage of trade deals, participate in the elections, nominate themselves, endorse candidates, or even be elected if they have sufficient loyalty to a town?

I'm also wondering how they're going to handle the royal councils on the Japanese shards. It's been 2 or 3 weeks since I last checked on any of them, but last I checked, you couldn't get onto the bridge to even go across to Blackthorn's castle on those shards.

Actually, the team at the time was quite specific that it did require more work to maintain, because it basically was a third rules set. I guess, though, that the set response will be that the team was lying?

Your reading things into my posts is not really my concern save to the fact that other people might see it and, for whatever reason, believe you. My posts mean what they say. And I react to what I see, not what you may need or wish for me to see or what you may need or wish to be true, whether it actually is or not.

It is undeniably true that the primary purpose of this system is RP, it is undeniably true that many Fel folks are openly hostile to RP, it is undeniably true that many Fel folks are openly hostile to Tammel in general. They say so. They say it a lot. They say it on the boards, they say it in-game.

For someone who allegedly hates Fel I sue have spent a lot of my time in UO there, until rather recently.

As I explained to your friend there I react to what I see and experience, not to what others may desperately need or want to be true -- or, more importantly, what others may desperately need or want others to believe.

There is no way to consider my posts trolls. unless of course one defines trolling as "stuff I don't like that's said as sternly as stuff I agree with."

And that, it's rather obvious, is exactly how you are defining it. Unfortunately, however, it fails the reasonability test.

Whatever you call it, you're tremendously annoying :/ ..

..and FYI because you craft, and take advantage of double resources in fel doesn't mean "you did fel"

It is indeed fortunate, then, that such was not what I was talking about. Never had a crafter and have precious little reason to gather resources.

Though if it was, really, isn't Fel, Fel? Am I not vulnerable to attack at any point? And is that not the point? Or perhaps you aren't referring to the facet Fel, but rather doing whatever it is you happen to do, where-ever it is you happen to do it, and happen to call that "Fel?"

I do nto care, one bit, whether I annoy you or not.
