Clarification of ROT sought

Discussion in 'UO Siege Perilous' started by Gellor, Jan 11, 2009.

I somewhat understand ROT but I'm seeking some clarification.

Is the max skill points per day for each skill or for all skills?

For example, can I gain 5 points in armslore and 5 points in lumberjacking? Or is it 5 points between the two? *confused*

It's the total combined. So 5 points total regardless of how many different skills

That's what I was afraid of.

    So that begs the question:
If I have a skill at 80-90(aka max of 4 points per day) and a skill at 90-GM(aka max of 3 points per day), can I gain 3 points in the 90-GM skill and then 1 point in the 80-90 skill? *confused*

the alcrity scrolls and trancedance scrolls operate outside the limits there so you might want to look into those.
in your last example it is a combined amount that you can gain. roughly 5 on one and 3 on the other would work out to average of 4 points total. Thats not exactly right but you get the idea.

No, there is a formula (which I don't know) that determines the daily gain between skill in different levels. But in your example you might could get 1.5 gains in the 90 - GM range and then 2.0 in the 80 - 90 range. Each being half of the limit for that level.

    Have fun.

So if I gained the full three points between 90-GM, I can't gain in any other skills? *confused*

    You aren't the only one. . .

I'd like to see the answer to that one too, from someone in the know, like a DEV

Every gain in a 70-80 skill is 2% of your daily allowance.
Every gain in a 80-90 skill is 2.5% of your daily allowance.
Every gain in a 90-110 skill is 3.3% of your daily allowance.
Every gain in a 110-120 skill is 5% of your daily allowance.
