I think perhaps we need a review of the basic commodity prices (leather, cloth, wood, ingots, bone, arrows, feathers) in the sticky above so that we can help any newcomers farming them to make money. There was some confusion in general chat over exactly what they are currently worth.

So anyone who is buying/would buy/has recently sold such items, what are the rates?

no offense ment but there really isnt a set price the seller always sets his price and the buyer either agrees or finds elsewhere. I dont sell the items you listed but i never believed in a set price on aything IT NEVER WORKS becasue i think the resource gatherers should get more then they get

There's always room for some negotiation Sprago but there should be a "baseline" to start from, that way someone isn't getting ripped off. If I know that ingots normally sell at 10gp per (just an example, I have no idea what they sell for) then that gives me a starting point to sell, or buy, them.

This is not some kind of trade association with embargoes on anyone that doesn't follow the prices; people can charge as much or as little as they want. This just gives a general guide price as to what the current values are. I have used the prices in the sticky as a reference when advising people in the past.

We had a new Siege player on earlier who was wanting to know what he could farm to make some money, and nobody had any clue what stuff was currently going for other than to say that some of the prices listed seemed high now. So I just think we should try and get some feedback to see if the values need altering at all.

Also the dreaded RNG will no doubt always be part of any prices of those resources that are afflicted by RNG.

For example if atm 'plain' ingots may net 30 gp or whatever, the RNG overdoses us all on plain ore, plain ingots easiest for most, even with lower mining should probably be far less.

Same for 'plain' wood if it is over 10gp a board, when plain wood/oak is also OD'd upon any of us, whom lumberjacks.

    Ditto perhaps 'plain' leather etc.

But, be some one new or old, no way in hell a valorite ingot, valorite granite, or frostwood should go for cheaper that whatever prices, whomever thinks all the time they blew harvesting that RNG rarity in enough quantitiy to sell, feels it is worth, of course, players prices will still vary.

Maybe the first and second slots of some resources should be lowered ie plain spined leather or plain and oak boards, plain ingots, dc ingots prob all can be less esp with less folks buyin lately.

Oddly whatever the price is for feathers, that maybe could be HIGHER. Someone has to either slay a lot of birdies and chickenz or harpies etc. to net get a LOT of feathers... worth possibly sellin to some fletcher, etc. & time is also MONEY ! :)

With HS adventure...we prob should figure out for some newer folks if their selling YARN instead of cloth bolts may be even a better plan with 'yarn' being needed to make some HS items over... any need for cloth bolts nowadays.

Also with HS, newbie or oldie miners whom MINE saltpeter...we have NO prices for them to go by to SELL the rest of us whom want to fire that NPC down on the HS docks for slow restockin of Saltpeter. :)

Our price lists sure could use some updating for Siege, cuz even CHARCOAL is now an item we never needed before...and maybe some folks whom harvest plain wood may find sellin it as charcoal, instead of plain boards may also be a plan for some ! :)

Just tossing out ideas here, with me morning coffee.

    *laughs*

Then on the other hand... PLAIN INGOTS are hogged up to make a single cannon soooooo maybe the price of PLAIN ingots isn't even ENOUGH when so many plain ingots are hogged up by those whom CAN make, cannons !

And there are items in the resource catagory hardly anyone sells yet some of the newer folks COULD make money selling these items too.

Granite, prices of the colors of granite normally follow the same RNG as harvesting ingots, but I know I would BUY granite, nearly any hue over plain granite, off of any newer players who set their new mining skill to pickaxe and granite harvesting. Ditto sand...not a biggie sellin item to be sure, but there still folks whom use sand for making stuff.

WE could also use new price listings for new things new alchemists maybe could make if HS upgraded...potash/black powder could be added to newer updated to resources price listings, along with *charcoal* yarn etc.
We could use also a 'guideline of sorts' for selling *parts* of things like HS Adventuring matches, fusecords, heavy and light pwd charges, etc.

*pours another cup of morning coffee*

Probably think of more once... my brain wakes UP !rolleyes:

    :) Adds:

Could use a guideline for various colors of fish nets prices, to sale.

Could use a guideline for HS fishes fished up for sellin to them whom hate gathering all them fishes, lobsters and crabs, just to do, the quests. :)

WE have no guidelines for relic frags gathered to be sold to others, listed either.

Various gemstones, can use an update too.

    Bark fragments as well !

Yeh but a guideline is only that a guideline !

A guideline offers players an idea, a concept to work with, either making their own prices higher or lower, than that guideline, but at least a guideline creates *ballpark* figures, for anyone to use.

Luckily this shard does not sucketh as badly, compared to borked economies elsewhere.

I still try to FATHOM in my head, why a small table, using hardly any BOARDS at all, is 1k 5k over THERE... and is considered *normal* everywhere, elsewhere where apparently plain wood boards must be valued way higher elsewhere, to enable a *plain small wood table to end up sold in LUNA vendor malls for prices be SO HIGH...ahem makes ones head hurt, thinking... yeh right that 1 plain wood board surely must be on some *other shard* guideline of 100000000gp for a plain wooden board, I guess ! God forbid if one sold a decent suit or... that same table in BLOODWOOD, be even higher *over there elsewhere* !

kinda glad we are not 'as' infected with that, HERE !

Id really like to have something like this consolidated in one quick reference place pricing here is soooooo different then many of us are used to... It would be nice when I'm buying resources to know if I'm being over charged or not too... not that that's real likely to stop be but still...

Well, here's what I'd be willing to pay for things i could use, and what i sell items at (excluding stuff like armor)

    I sell:
    Bandages: 10 per
    Enhanced Bandages: 50 per
    cloth: 500 per bolt
Potions: 5k per keg, 10k for deadly poison
Normal color natural dyes: 5k per
Rare color natural dyes (including white): 15k per
    black natural dyes: 25k per
    silver: 9per
    orange petals: 1k per
rose of trinsic petals: 100 per
Essences (the loot blob things) - 10k per
most imbue regs - 10k per

Prices I would pay to buy things:
    Feathers - 5 per
    Barbed Leather - 50 per
Horned Leather - (never had to buy, but best guess) 30 per
    Spined Leather - 20 per
    Normal Leather - 10 per
    Essence (from unravels) -1k per

Camriel's vendor in Zento has been selling potion kegs for a while.

Not certain what anyone else has been selling them for, but I've set a price of 9,000 for Greater-anything and 7,000 for Regular-anything. I think 6,000 for Lesser-anything, but I only stock lesser poison for those wishing to train it. They seem to sell slowly but steadily.

I have not been stocking the more exotic potions, but if folks start asking for them, I surely could make them. Not certain what those would go for, other than 'more than "greater-anything" kegs'!

Of course, I also request that empty kegs be dumped into the mailbox at that house, and I recently pulled 18 kegs out. That at least saves me the time/resources to constantly build the kegs.

Is anyone doing fish pies yet? If so, what are those going for!?

I have a few pies on my vendor at 4k per, but they don't sell much. The special from Sea market is just over 3k so can't really sell them for much less.

Yeh my Hughes' fish pies were 4k also, simply due to high 3k npc prices of the special sauces etc. to make a magic fish pie.

Then toss in when all ya get is one or two fish types, that actually make the magic fish pies, and rarely fish up the even more special fishes to make the spiffier magical fish pies.....well for me it's the same 2 kinds of magic fish pies over and over again, and so far none of the other kinds have even gotten made by me, um my Hughes. :(

The harder to fish up (RNG) magic fishes, I have seen on Chesapeake on vendors, and some of those magic fish pies can get quite high, in prices, if the pies are some rarer caught magic fishes to make the pies.

And for as short duration as the special magic lasts, seems high anyhow to eat a pie and not have em last longer for us, when the silly sauces alone, are so pricey to begin with. MEH ! :(

My Hughes's potionkegs are about the same. 8.5k - 9k depending on what it is and what the regs originally cost, ie black pearl cost more than garlic so Total Refresh is a tad higher.

I also price the ones that even with GM Alchemy FAIL us alot...Greater Explosion is always higher, and DP GAH !!!! Higher !

My poisons go as follows, if Greater is 9k then poison is 4.5k and lesser is 3.5k
DP is MORE ! Often that depends how ANNOYED EA makes me get with failures at 100. alchemy to make DP ! LOL Regs wasted is money too ! TIME is money too, takes a lot of anyone's TIME to crank out lots of kegs per day or week too.

I was using other peoples prices for Greater Conflag. and Greater Confusion Blast...usually them were 10k-12k some even higher.

As for DARK GLOW AND PARASITIC poisons...they would be higher. One can lumberjack ones brains out all day long and still not get enough to make even 40 or 50, usually ya lucky to make 10 of each type, let alone 100 of anything of those two potions. :)

Thanks to all those who have posted so far with prices. One transaction I can report was that a load of iron ingots were recently sold for 10 per.

Is there anyone else out there who is buying cloth and/or leather, and if so how much would you pay?
