Cooper's First CEO

Discussion in 'Toontown General Discussion' started by CooperColeman, Sep 21, 2008.

  1. Hi everyone,

I recently finished the parts to my Bossbot suit and I can't WAIT to CEO. I've read the posts here and I know there are some issues, but if any of you guys are willing to go with me tonight, after the other boss runs, that would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry Melanie that your first run didn't end very well for most of us. Only Joe and Steve survived to tell the tale. His gears started hitting for -19 after a while and they tell me I went sad two hits before the end. It is so NOT FAIR about the snacks shutting down on one side too.

Next time we'll have to have some tu unites along.

Very sorry to hear it wasn't a successful run :( I couldn't stay, hubby was nagging me "Are you done yet" before the cog round of the CFO was over, and he didn't stop.

That was pretty intense there at the end. Sorry you did not have a successful first CEO. I was so focused on hitting the ceo I did not realize anyone went sad until I looked and there was only Joe, Marge and I left. I was down to 52 laugh and I heard Joe say something about 10. So I think he might have been down to 10 laugh. A few of my hits should have been avoided because I was trying to get -4 and -6 so I would wait til the last second before I jumped off the table and then it was too late. No one had tu unites so that did not work out too well. Anyway I just need to gather my options and I am ready for another one.

LOL sorry I was late seeing this, but I was going to say on your first run, dont be upset if you lose and instead take it as a key learning experience. There's a skill to jumping off tables and jumping often, not hugging the snacks and letting others who need them get some, and how safe or unsafe as well as how useful and useless are the golf positions.

My RL friend said after the first run: "I know what I have to do next time" and she did. Even if then it takes fine tuning, there's a strategy in mind, and she did manage to win that second one.

The strategy falls into two best scenarios: slow him down or make him keep changing his direction.

With 3 golfers (not 2 and you need more people on tables for there to be 4) you can turn his treads red and easily outrun the CEO.

With all players manning the tables, he might be quick, but he shifts back and forth in place often and he will again be easier to escape from with this hesitation. That and being squirted by so many remaining toons that his strength wanes quickly.

I had it lucky my first time out: I saw a video made on test first and it was planned that everybody would be at a table. The entire run went 35 minutes.

Other than setting the right conditions, the skill part involves learning how to dodge the streams of balls when he yells fore, which you now know :). As we all know laff can go down quickly.

I havent played since about May or June when the bug started, but I had made it to a point where I rarely went too low and a couple of times I didnt lose any laff (considering I like to jump on close tables to get as rapidfire as possible with the CEO, that's some achievement). Only twice in my whole time playing the CEO was I ever in range of a unite, so I could never regard them as something to rely on or ever expect. I have needed snacks, and when someone's permanent position is at the belts that pisses me off. They arent playing as far as I'm concerned, and those freeloaders should leave the game instead of bringing everyone else down - because that's what they are doing.

A major factor in success - believe it or not - is to allow your laff threshold to lower as the game wears on. Yes, it's nice to be above 100 laff at first, but be happy to be at 70 laff a ways in, and near the end 60 or even 50 laff is a blessing while someone with 20 should be allowed the little snacks left if there are any.

Anyway, as far as first tries go, don't worry about it; it's perfectly normal and if you've come away from it with ideas on what to do differently, then you've won.

Sorry Cooper! Are you trying again during the normal run time tonight? Finishing up my options now if you'd like me to help. After this, I'll be on randomly throughout the day to attempt to find some tu unites.

I think I need Like 420 options so I will come home and try to get them. Anyone up for a front 3? DA? Mint?

  9. All in all I think it actually was a successful CEO run in my opinion. I do agree we lost alot of good toons in the battle BUT we did WIN and we did not use a single UNITE to do it. So in my opinion I think that was the most successful CEO I have ever played.

Gee I was really hopin that it would be a successful 1st for Cooper but I remember it is really mayhem on your first time. As a matter of fact it still is for me lol! I have learned to exit the table as soon as he yells fore, get off the table as soon as he turns and starts toward you and that if he passes near the table you will still get squashed. What I haven't figured out is how to dodge the balls when your just on the floor going for snacks or to another table. CAN ANYONE ENLIGHTEN ME A LITTLE! Please o please.
    Thonght will be revenge time!!!!

Run like you're a grain truck on the back of a tractor. Weave a lot. lol

    That's all I have...

  12. Dwight I usually Jump and run left at the same time. That usually avoids them. Or when he says fore or throws the golf balls just back away steadily and jump as they get close. Never been hit doing either one of those moves.

Also, if you're near a table and can jump ON when he yells fore, you won't get hit.

  15. Thanks everyone for your help. I would definitely like to try again tonight. I'm late getting home, but will log on right away.

And I don't feel bad that I lost. I was just excited to finally be able to GO!!! And that will still hold true for tonight!

What a great Revenge Run! Thanks to all who were there. I was surprised to get two pink slips, but we did have two big cheeses last night that we didn't have the night before.

  18. Congrats to all on the run. it was an awesome run. Anytime you walk out with everyone who went in is great. But to do it with NO unites being used it's just plain AWESOME. And now that I have my new bestest buddy I know I will be a dominant toon on TT. I got me an insider LOL. And he even has Elvis's HAIR!

Congrats on your first win! Glad I could enjoy the experience with you. Of course, it's always an 'experience' with ya'll.

  20. Thanks everyone for a great revenge run! At this point, I can't imagine doing that boss run with randoms...but maybe when I get a lot better on the seltzer. It was really a lot of fun. I did get very low on laff at one point, but everyone was really good about sharing the snacks! I had a lot of fun. Thanks again!

  21. Congrats on the win! Randoms battles arent too bad anymore because all the bugs are gone.

  22. Congratulations!!
